Change Of Emotions (Pt.3)

5 minutes later the manager picked them up. Most of the boys were still teary-eyed since they didn't know what is with Pete right now. They didn't have any idea how much of a bad state the Australian boy was in.

While the members were on their way to the hospital which seemed much longer than it was, the doctors were fighting for Pete's life. Pete was losing too much blood. The doctors all tried their best to save him. Through the surgery, the members arrived with several cars. They all hurried inside to ask the number of the room their precious member is in. When the receptionist told them all the boys ran to the room. The people in front of them all scurried to the side so that none of them get trampled. The nurses stopped them at the door.

"I'm sorry but I can't let you in."told them the nurse in a hurry.

"What? At least can you tell us how is he?" Taeyong, the leader, asked with worry written on his face.

"They are doing their best." said the nurse.

And with that, she left them and disappeared into the place where all the rush was at. The whole of NCT decided that the best idea would be if they sat down and waited patiently.

Through the surgery, Pete went through several ups and downs. His heart gave up a few times. This made the people there lose hope each time it happened. It was a long process that made everyone anxious. When the time they spent was already 3 hours the doctors said something that will make a change in everyone's life. 

"Time of death: 2:17 am."

Pete's heart gave up and he took his last breath. They wrote down the cause and time of his death. Now the worst part of their job is coming. They have to tell the family and friends the passing of someone special to them. The whole crew that was part of the surgery came out of the room. All members who were still awake came to them and the questions were coming.

"Did he make it?"

"Is he going to be okay?"

"Can we see him?"

"We're sorry to inform you, but sadly Ahn Pete didn't make it. He lost too much blood," informed them the doctor.

If someone saw them at that exact moment they would say it looked like their world just shattered, but that is exactly what happened. All of the boys lost their best friend, brother and a member. They didn't know what they felt. There was so much emotion at once. It felt as if their soul just left with Pete. 

After Pete's passing NCT was on a hiatus. They didn't announce how long the break will take, but their fans understood it entirely. NCTzen was grieving as well. They all missed him. Other idols were paying their respects too. Everyone said that he was too young to leave this world. The grieving went on for a long time. They had Pete's funeral with friends and family. But NCT made sure the fans could say goodbye to him. After several months the band made a comeback. The leader, Taeyong, told the people it was not only for the fans but Pete too. They knew he would want them to continue this journey even if it's without him.
