"COMING" my voice trembled this was it i knew it was too good to be true
I treaded down the stairs and slumped down on the couch I couldn't take this anymore dreaded what was coming next, about to burst into tears.
"Well as you know in now 18 so I would like to ... to ... adopt you Carla" was he serious was he kidding me
"Are you serious jack? Is this a joke?" I asked my voice cracked mid sentence
"I knew you don't want to be here I abandoned you why would you like me it's okay we'll take you back to the orphanage tomorrow why would anyone want to be adopted by me? Why would anyone love me ?" Jacks words broke me that was it it felt like I had been stabbed a million times in the heart at once ... heart broken .. left in dismay
I looked up he was gone I love jack I really did I want to stay here
What he said was no where near true and I needed to fix that something's wrong that wouldn't just happen like that he wouldn't say that
