It felt good to be home. I was laying in my bed, with Alex next to me. Being under my covers, watching reruns of Scooby Doo, I felt like a little girl. But I knew I was far from that. My mom came into the room with a plate that had two cheeseburgers and fries.

"Thanks Mom." I said.

She smiled, and nodded. She was on her way out, but Alex stopped her.

"I think you guys need to talk." He suggested. He left the room, leaving my mom and I alone. We didn't have time to talk things out. After the moment I had with Alex, I immediately started to feel dizzy, after effects of what I done in Puerto Rico, which felt just minutes ago. She came, but she took us on the first plane back to North Carolina. I was asleep the whole ride. Today was the morning after. I saw in her face, she felt it was all her fault. But how could she prevent such events? Even if she didn't get with Anthony, he will would've still been the same crazy man he was.

My mom sat next to me, just staring at the T.V. I saw her starting to tear up, which made me want to do the same. I put the plate of cheeseburgers on my nightside, and laid my head onto her shoulder. She chuckled a bit. I turned her head my way, and saw she stopped crying.

"Mom, why are you crying? You couldn't prevented anything. You know that." I assured her.

"But if I was here with you...If they never called me for that trip...you wouldn't have to go through any of this."

"But if I didn't go through any of this, I would'nt have learned anything."

She stood quiet, knowing that I was right.

"But the Aces knew you were changing. And still they called me away." She said.

"What if they were knew what was gonna happen? What if they wanted this to happen? What if this is fate?" I said, trying to make sense.

"You may be right, Kaiya. That's probably why I couldn't see so far into the future." She said, while smiling. I gave her a "Bish whet?" look. I didn't know my mom could see the future.

"You could see into the future?"

"Yes, I can. I can tell you one thing. That boy Alex, is good for you."

"You saw that?" I asked.

"Nope. Just motherly instincts." My Mom said smirking.

I giggled a bit, and opened my arms, so she can give me a hug.

"I love you Mom."

"I love you too, Kaiya."

We hugged, and I felt our bond get more stronger. No more feelings of me feeling lonely at home, when I know that she's doing good for me, for her, and for the world.

There was a slight knock at the door.

"Come in." I said.

There came in a boy, that looked familiar.

"Dayton! I haven't seen you in so long." My mom said.

They hugged.

"Well now you'll be seeing more often I guess, Ciara."

I looked at Dayton, to my Mom, then back to Dayton.

"Um...how do you guys know each other?"

"I trained this little boy." She said while rubbing his head in a playful way. Which was kinda weird. Dayton looked at my mom, indicating so she can leave the room. My mom nodded, and left the room.

"May I sit?" Dayton asked.

I nodded at him. He sat next to me. He started at the T.V. for awhile, creating an awkward silence between us. He fumbled with his hands. It looked like he was trying to find the right words.

"Is there anything you wanna tell me?" I asked him, so he could continue on.

"Yeah. I came to tell you that you're ready."

I gave him a confused look.

"Ready? Ready for what?"

"So remember the guy that came to you and told you who you were, and that you needed training and all that?"

I nodded once more.

"Well that was my father." Dayton said. I cursed under my breath, because his father was some hot stuff, who was too old for me. I saw Dayton smile a bit, probably already used to hearing that.

"Basically you don't need any training. You seem to understand yourself more than we can. We won't be able to understand what you do. Do you do?" He asked me.

"Nope. It just felt right, ya know?"

"Yeah, I do." He said agreeing with me.

More awkward silence.

I started to study his face more, trying to remember where I saw Dayton from. He caught me looking at me, and smiled. I blushed, and turned my gaze straight to the T.V., something I did when I got nervous.

"Dayton...do you used to go to Lincoln Elementary?"

"Yeah, I did." He started smirking.

I gasped and started to laugh. No wonder why he looked so familiar and his name too. I remember Dayton being a bit shorter. And Dayton was a trouble maker in my elementary school. He was in my first and third grade class. And he always, started something.

"You got taller." i said.

"And better looking..." I said to myself.

"I heard that." He said.

I cursed under my breath. I have to remember that some of my thoughts aren't kept to myself. I gotta learn how to turn off my thoughts. Then he gave me a hug...which was weird...because it felt weird.

"Um...okay?" I said questioning him.

All he did was smile, and left.

I guess there are more weirdos out there.

I kept on watching re-runs of Scooby-Doo, and afterwards re-runs of Powerpuff Girls. Like I said, it felt good to be home. It felt good to be inside my house, inside my room, under the warm covers, watching T.V.

And something I haven't done in awhile.

Eat.

*Short chapter, yes I know. But to let you know...the next chapter is the last one. :( Peace and Lovee.*
