As Carl parked the car I already wanted to go back at the hotel. I didn't really like parties and especially this one. A huge party on New Year's Eve in Paris!! I had a bad feeling about it.

"Come on, Chloe, let's go." Clayton said, already waiting for me outside of the car. I stepped out of the car watching my brothers' eagerness to enter the party. They are twins, one year older than me. They always dress the same and look the same with their green eyes and dark brown hair. It's very hard to tell who is Carl and who is Clayton, except for me. I know them too well. We hurried to the entrance of the building. From the inside the music was blowing and I saw different lights changing from the windows. As Clayton opened the enormous door the music exploded all around me. There were spotlights in different colors moving around the large room.Earlier I made the twins promise me not to leave me by myself tonight and as I assumed they were already nowhere to be seen.

"Great" I muttered under my breath.

"I swear they won't survive till next year." I was going to kill them. I tried to move trough the sweaty bodies in the room. They looked around my age or little older. And they were making out. I swear they were all making out. I couldn't see single person on the room who wasn't trying to suck someone's face. The room was so dark only enlighten by the spotlights which were moving so fast that I wasn't able to see far. I took my phone out and checked the time. 22:34. I secured my phone back in my pocket and started moving forward, sometimes using my elbows. Those people wouldn't notice if the Apocalypse came and Hell froze. In the back I saw stairs and decided to see where they lead as there weren't any doors or a hall on the first floor. There were people on the stairs but surprise, not all of them were making out. I was relieved to see that on the second floor the party wasn't as wild as downstairs. Sure there was still the blasting music and people were dancing but at least now they didn't make me wanna throw up. An the DJ was here. Someone bumped into me.

"Ow" I tried to keep my balance and glanced at the girl in front of me.

"Let's dance!" She screamed and grinned at me. I just stood there for a few seconds wondering what should I do when she took my wrist and pulled me with her further on what seemed like a dance floor. Another you another way by Against The Current was playing and I decided that if my brothers dumped me at least I should have fun. The brunette girl stopped and turned to face me. She let go of my hand and started dancing like crazy. I laughed and followed. I wasn't much of a dancer but I wasn't that bad. She started giggling and at the end of the song I found it hard to catch my breath.

"I'm Priscilla" The brunette girl with big brown eyes said. Now as I got to see her better I had to admit she was really beautiful. She was at least three inches taller than me. She had her long hair in curls and she was wearing pink top and skinny jeans. I was wondering how many drinks she have had.

"I'm Chloe" I smiled at her.

"So Chloe, it's the end of the year so let's dance till we can't feel our feet!" I laughed once more and started dancing again. I gotta admit I was having fun after all. Maybe I wouldn't kill my brothers. We danced for more than ten songs. Priscilla didn't seem exhausted but my legs were hurting already and my throat was sore. I took her wrist to catch her attention.

"Are there any drinks here?" She looked around the room.

"I think there are next to the couches. Wanna sit for a while?" I nodded. She made her way through the crowd and I followed her. We reached the tables and I picked a bottle of water. Priscilla was already sitting on one of the couches. I sat next to her and drank a huge gulp of water.

"You look tired. First party in Paris?" She smirked.

"Yep"

"Are you here by yourself?"

"No, my brothers must be somewhere around." I looked around again and saw one of the twins but I couldn't say which one from here. "There" I pointed in his direction. He was dancing with two girls."The one with the white shirt and black jeans."

"What's his name?" I glanced at her. From the look on her face I can say she wanted me to introduce them. " I'm not sure." I laughed at her confused expression. "They're twins and they dress identical, you know to confuse people."

"That's cool. You can tell them apart?" she asked.

"Yeah, but he's too far and it's very dark in here.." I focused on him. He ran his fingers trough his hair and smirked at the blonde girl. "It's Carl. That's his move." We both laughed." How about you?"

"See the DJ?" I looked at him. He was a boy maybe a little older than my brothers with green t-shirt and big headphones. He looked very focused on what he was doing but also seemed to have fun."He's my best friend."

"He is good."

"I know." She smiled, real smile this time.

"This party is awesome!" I've been to a few parties before, but this one was the best. I just loved the moving spotlights.

"It's gonna get better." She smirked again. "I've been to that party for the last two years on New Year's Eve and the first time I was really impressed. A few minutes before midnight someone goes to one of the spotlights and points it at two random people next to each other. And..." She trailed.

"And what?" I asked suspicious.

"And they have to kiss." She laughed at my amused expresion. "You know, like Kiss cam, but they use spotlight." I hid my fear and smiled. What's the chance to happen to you? Don't worry so much. I was trying to relax myself. "It's almost midnight so I'm gonna go around some hottie. Wish me luck." I laughed."Maybe around one of your brothers, if you don't mind." She looked at me questioningly.

"Nah, as long as I don't see it and gag." She smiled and got up.

"Ok, I'll see you later." She was about to go but turned back to me. "Give me your number, it'd be nice to keep in touch to keep in touch with America."

"What?" I was confused.

" Gary told me thah he invited some kids from America, twins and a girl. Guessed that's you. I moved here from USA four years ago. Weren't you surprised that I talked in english when we're in France?" I didn't think of that. I felt so stupid.

"Oh." She laughed and smiled. "Give me your phone." I took it from her and wrote my number and name.

"Thanks!" She took back her phone. "See you around." And she disappeared. I stood up not wanting to be the only one sitting on the couch as everyone was dancing and waiting for the new year. I decided to go through the crowd just swaying with the music. I was halfway the room when everyone stopped dancing, the music stopped and the room went silent. As the spotlight fell on me everyone around pushed back to make a small circle around me except for the one person who was also in the spotlight. I couldn't see the face, because of the blinding light, but it was a boy. Everyone started screaming "Kiss, kiss, kiss" and I panicked. I've never kissed a boy. Yes, I'm seventeen and I've never kissed a boy. Thanks to my brothers. My brothers!!! If they see that they'd freak out. The boy made a few steps to close the distance between us and I finally got to see his face. His beautiful blue eyes looked right into mine as he looked down at me. Wow he was so tall! I started to freak out. People wouldn't stop screaming "kiss" as the stranger placed his palm on my cheek and our lips touched.
