 Chapter 2: Welcome home

"Come on, Chloe" Clayton was making the puppy eyes on me and Carl joined him. "You can't just stop talking to us."

"Why are you even mad? We're the one who should be mad." I was about to punch Carl.

"Oh yeah, bacause was the one to drag you out of the party after the kiss like a SWAT team on a rescue mission." I took a deep breathe. "It was humiliating."

"Well I wasn't the one making out with a complete stranger!" Clayton snapped.

"Really?" I snapped back. " You didn't kiss some random girl at that party?"

"Maybe...but we're talking about you!" I laughed humorless. I looked at the driver but he didn't seem to care about our little fight or at least he pretended, that's what my parents pay him for. They had to go on a business trip to New York right after we left Paris and came home in USA.

"Hey" Carl snapped his fingers infront of my face but I didn't even blink, I continued to ignore them and watched as we approached the house. "Chloe" I waited for the driver to stop the car, jumped off and headed straight to the house. I opened the front door and quickly waved at the maids before climbing the stairs to get to my room. I was in a hurry I had to take a shower after the long flight and get changed to meet with my friends. We started school the following day and I was eager to know how their holidays went. Then we could plan my brothers' murder. I got in my bathroom and took a quick shower. As I walked out of the bathroom I saw Clayton laying on my bed, throwing a ball at the ceiling and Carl was on my laptop.

"Don't you two have your own bedrooms?" Clayton just looked at me and got back at throwing the ball. I looked at Carl and he was on my Facebook. "Get away from my Facebook, Carl!" He didn't move and just laughed.

"I thought you weren't talking to us?"

"I'm shouting at you and if both of you don't leave this room in 3 seconds I will hurt you, bad." They looked at each other. "One..." Clayton was already up. "Two.." They were fighting to get out throught the door. "Three." I said in the empty room and smiled. They knew better to not mess with me. Over a year ago I caughted them lying about going to swimming practice, instead they went somewhere else. I insisted to go with them or I threatened to tell mom and dad. They didn't thought long and took me because our parents would have killed them if they ever found out were they were going. They were training krav maga across town. If our parents saw what these man did there they'd have a heart attack even if it's mostly for self-defense. I wanted to train too but it was hard to persuade the twins. Eventually they gave up and let me go on training with them. Our parents thought the three of us went to swimming practice every Tuesday and Thursday. They would never hit a girl and I knew the cracks in their defences. The door opened.

"But you're not mad at us anymore!" The twins shouted. I laughted at the picture infront of me: Clayton carrying Carl on his back, Carl had his hands over Clayton's eyes, his own were closed in case I was naked. They just came, screamed and ran. They're such kids. But I love them. I went to my walk-in closet to dress up without fear of my brothers coming again and put on a pair of skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and grabbed a leather jacket. I got my phone and headed to Ana's house. I got in my car and turned on the radio. On my way I stopped at Starbucks as usual and in few minutes I was in front of Ana's house. Before I had the chance to knock the door opened and I was airless by Ana's hug.

"OMG, Chloe, I missed you so much!"

" I missed you too! But I can't breathe." She let go of me. "Are the others here?"
