Chapter 3: Surprise, surprise

I stood there watching him unable to move. Why was he here? What were the chances for him to come in my school, in my class. That had to be a joke or I was just hallucinating. Chris got my elbow and dragged me to the two empty seats. Luckily they were next to each other, unluckily, I was the one to sit right in front of the french boy. We all sat by ourselves in six lines. Chris was in the one on my right, right next to me. Soon enough a paper ball appeared on my desk. It said: What's up? Are you ok? I looked at Chris and wrote back: See the new guy behind me? That's the boy from Paris. I waited for the teacher to turn to the board and threw the paper to Chris' desk. He opened it and after he read it he looked at me in surprise then behind me. I was uncomftable sitting there. Did he recognise me? Did he remember me? I wanted to turn back and look at him but I didn't. What was I going to say? Hey, do you remember me? I'm that girl you kissed on that party in Paris... No. I couldn't have said that. I just waited for the bell. I hoped my brothers didn't remember him. When the bell rang I purposely took more time to put my books in my bag to see if he'd talk to me. He didn't. He walked past me as if he didn't know me. He doesn't. I watched him leaving the room and then I turned to Chris.

"Are you sure it's him?" He raised his eyebrows at me.

"Yes" I might have seen him just for few seconds but I was sure it was him.

"I've gotta tell the others" Chris was running through the door. I ran after him to catch up and stopped him.

"No, you won't. They will go right to him and make the whole situation more embarrassing. I'll tell them."

"You mean threaten them."

"You know me too well. I've gotta go to second period. See you later. And keep your mouth shut. If the twins recognise him it might get ugly. They may think he is stalking me or something."

"Okay. See ya." He turned on his heel and walked down the hallway. I was walking in the other direction to my next period when I saw him. All I could see was his back but I knew it was him. The boys in my school weren't that tall, Jason was the tallest and still he was a few inches shorter than him. He was in front of his locker, I guessed, and he was surrounded by a bunch of girls. They looked like obedient puppies. He turned around and got their full attention with just a smile or I would say it was more like a smirk. But I got a better look at him. He was wearing jeans, white shirt and leather jacket. He was so gorgeous with his high cheekbones, perfect lips, ocean blue eyes, long lashes. His hair was brown and messy like he had just woken up. I walked past them and he didn't seem to look at me. Good, maybe he doesn't remember me. I was relieved I was out of trouble. The twins would never know. I just had to make sure my friends kept their mouths shut. Not gonna be easy. I was just walking in the classroom, lost in thoughts when someone bumped my arm and walked in the room.

" Ouch!" I looked at the person and recognised his leather jacket. He didn't even bothered to look back. As I sat on my chair I thought twice if I wasn't wrong about him being the french boy. But I was sure it was him. He just seemed to be different from what I pictured him to be like.He was sat at the back of the class again but this time I was in the front and I was able to focus on the teachers words.

At lunch I found my friends at our table waiting for me. They knew. I knew it. I knew them too well.

"Chris you do have a death wish, don't you?" He just laughed at me.

"Sorry, but it was impossible not to tell."

"Where is he?" Jessica asked eagerly.

"I don't know. And neither should you. Guys, don't say anything about Paris to him. He doesn't remember me and it's for the best. Don't, under any circumstances, tell the twins. I don't think they would remember him so he's safe."
