Drunken Verses

Alcohol usage, swearing, song-fic I guess, a drunk Winchester with a microphone

We are in Sam's POV for the entire. It's Elvis, I'm sorry.

It started with the three of us at the bar in Lebanon, celebrating after a hunt where we were able to get the job done fast enough that no one else but the first victim got hurt. Dean was especially happy about this, immediately going for the shots and beers.

By now he was long gone, probably in a corner with some chick making-out. Now it was just me and Cas sitting at one of the tables near the barroom stage. It was karaoke night, apparently.

I had ordered a few rounds of whiskey for both me and Cas but he hadn't seemed to be affected by any number of them yet. About a dozen people had sung by the time I noticed how late it was

As I was about to ask Cas if he wanted to head out, he spoke up.

"Sam, why are people singing? Is this some sort of concert?" He had asked, tilting his head, and squinting his eyes like he always did.

"Uh, no. It's something called, 'Karaoke Night'. It's where a person goes up onto a stage like this and sings a song or two of their choice in front of a bar of people." I muttered out, rubbing my eyes.

"Oh...I was wondering why Dean was up there."

"What?"

I whirled my head around to the stage where the microphones were set up on stands and sure enough, Dean was standing in the place of the last singer, mic in hand.

Now, I have heard Dean's singing on our long rides to cases across the country, and no offense Dean, but I would prefer to not be here while you sang.

Soon enough, music started playing and having played it for Jess on occasion, I immediately recognized the tune.

Wise men say,

Only fools rush in.

Dean's voice rang out over the crowd and to say I was surprised would be an understatement. It didn't sound at all like his voice-overs of Led Zeppelin or Metallica, it sounded like...I don't even know...

But I can't help,

Falling in love with you

I turned back to Cas, only to find the guy staring straight at Dean, mouth hanging open a small bit, and eyes widened in awe. I guess even angels can be impressed.

Shall I stay?

Would it be a sin?

Dean held the mic as he moved closer to the front of the stage.

If I can't help,

Falling in love,

With you.

On that last verse, Dean bowed, his free hand outstretched. Some people in the bar turned towards me and Cas and gave a quick smile before returning their attention to the man on the stage.

Once more, I turned to Cas to see that he was blushing and smiling sheepishly. That's when it dawned on me. The fucker finally confessed.

The song continued and ended in a series of applause and cheering before Dean set the mic down and hopped off the side of the stage.

A wall of coat momentarily blocked my view before I saw Cas make his way over to Dean, still smiling. As he came into Dean's view, he returned the smile before pulling his angel into a kiss.

More cheers erupted from the bar and once the two pulled away, Cas murmured something in Dean's ear causing him to tilt his head back and laugh. He then moved his gaze to me and grinned, giddily waving at me.

I just shook my head and smiled.

Fucking idiot.

Let me know if there are any grammatical errors or sentences that lack of sence, I don't mind I actually greatly appreciate it. If you have any suggestions or requests, I'd be more than happy to take them.
