A Few Minutes After Chapter 1*

Underneath The Spring Maiden's Vault*

Third Person POV*

Cinder and Rachel's bodies are seen floating in the water, ice chunks surrounding them.

Cinder's right eye suddenly opens up, twitching as she comes to terms with her current situation.

Cinder looks down at Rachel to still see her still unconscious.

Bubbles escape from Cinder's mouth as she struggles to get them both upright in the water.

Cinder activated her powers to bring them both to the surface.

Rachel awoke as they made it to the surface of the water.

Cinder and Rachel started gasping for breath.

Both of them then crawled out of the pool of water and onto the shore of the underground cave.

Cinder holds her hand out and tries to activate a small flame in her hands, but it dies out quickly.

Rachel tries to activate her Semblance but it dies out quickly as well.

Cinder grunts in frustration, slamming her Grimm-like fist to the ground, unknowingly opening up an exit to the cave and shocking Rachel a bit.

Rachel and Cinder look up to see light pouring through the crack as well as the sound of howling wind.

Rachel struggles to get up while Cinder looks up to notice the Spring Maiden Vault under where she fought Raven and almost lost Rachel.

Cinder then uses her Grimm fist to punch at the crack in the wall.

Rachel helps her up and they slowly exit the cave.

Cinder and Rachel stagger out of the cave and into the rain.

Rachel struggles to walk for a bit before collapsing to the ground from her wounds.

Cinder starts dragging themselves on the ground as Rachel shuts her eyes wincing in pain from her wounds she's been afflicted with.

Someone was heard approaching them.

A woman asked, "Gods, are you two okay?".

The woman, holding a basket of food, looks down at Cinder and Rachel in concern.

The woman asked, "Where did you...?".

Cinder crawls forward, revealing her Grimm arm.

The woman gasps and drops her basket.

Cinder then looks up to the frightened woman, activating her Maiden powers and smiling evilly while Rachel lays nearby a few steps away from death.

Elsewhere*

Ruby scours through the train wreckage and picks up bullets, before looking to see the Relic of Knowledge slightly buried in the snow nearby.

Yang was complaining as she struggles to get her bike Bumblebee out of the snow.
