The worst part if Betty following Peach and Betty was that it uncovered more things that made her look worthy of killing… Well worthy of killing in Betty's eyes.

She had uncovered more dirty than she felt worth even good enough to dig up and get she was going to do it anyways.

With a sigh Betty went home knowing fully well Peaches feelings toward Y/N… Sure she was her best friend but she was evil. That's why she was always convincing her to go place and why else would she tell Betty to back off.

That's right yesterday at school she had told Y/n to back off Y/N… Though Betty tried hard to block that out but it didn't work. She hated the fact that Peaches was trying to keep her from the love of her life.

Though Betty couldn't find any real evidence against her just yet she was going to… She promised herself that she would find something against Peach- Something to throw her off her high house that she lived on.

Though Betty wanted to kill her and contemplated it multiple times she couldn't just get even if she wanted too because right now she was facing the rath of her previous murder- her murder of last week it had been that long.

Her mother had let the cops in, as Betty gulped under the pressure of their stares. "So we're here to ask you a few questions about the recent disappearance of Toni Topaz," Sheriff Keller explained.

"I thought she left… I mean that's what she texted everyone,"

"Texted, correct we have reason to believe that something happened to her or maybe something drove her to leave… Or someone,"

"Oh well I wouldn't know anything about that… I barely knew her,"

"Where were you the night she left," Betty gulped at the question balling her hands in fists tightly.

"I was here in my room studying for my chemistry test the next day," The blonde lied swiftly trying to maintain a saddened face. "Who do you think would want to do such a thing sheriff,"

"We're working on it, thanks for the information and we'll be in touch," After that the sheriff was gone and Betty was left alone with her mother.

"Betty where have you been going… What have you been doing?" Alice questioned turning toward her daughter. "You don't have anything to do with Toni right?"

"Of course I don't! I've just been clearing my head… After everything that happened with dad,"

"I understand goodnight sweetie," She whispered kissing the top of her head goodnight.

And that's how Betty ended up in her room alone… In her thoughts. They were mostly about Toni and how she could get in trouble for her… But maybe just maybe that wouldn't stop her from gaining Y/N back even if Peach didn't like that.

"What the hell is wrong with me," Betty sighed pacing the street. "This is wrong… This is wrong,"

That hadn't stopped you from going into Y/n's house…  So what makes Peaches so different?

Peach was nothing less of a burden Y/N had to carry… And how would Betty know that? Because of course, she snuck into Peach’s home. I mean how could she not. She hated Peach with a passion, she had finally gotten rid of Toni and what does this girl do… Claim Y/N as hers.

It was obvious to the bone that Peach thought of Betty as a threat. The way that every day at school she gave the blonde the cold shoulder. Or how she threatened her or wanted Peach to do all of these secret things with her to exclude Betty. She hated Betty with a passion, as did Betty hate her.

Betty had taken all of her lunch period looking through Peach’s thing… Trying to find anything, something to hold against her to blackmail her into letting her get closer to Y/N or even for Y/N to stop being her friend… And then finally she had found something worth showing… Worth having.

But Betty, of course, knew that she had to wait for the right time to bring it up… For the right time to.

“Hey Y/N,” Betty mumbled sitting down in her usual booth at Pops something she did regularly whenever the young girl worked.

“Your usual?” She questioned through a grin dropping the milkshake in front of Betty.

“Yeah thank you… Where’s Peach isn’t she normally here?” The blonde questioned through a small smirk.

“She wasn’t feeling very well so I guess it’s just you and me this late at night,” Y/N yawned turning around her back to the blonde. “I’ll go get your food,”

Y/N and Betty didn’t know how they ended up in the same booth across from one another but they did… It was a good thing there was no one at Pop’s this late at night. “No your mother did not,”

“Yeah she did,” Betty laughed through a grin. “What’s the worst thing your mother has ever done,”

“One time my mom washed her hair with the wrong soap when she was running late for work and everyone said she smelled like a man,” Y/N laughed through a smile. “...Though I and my mother don’t hang out a lot I still love sharing that story,”

“I’m sorry Y/N I know how you feel,” The blonde reassured placing her hand on top of hers which was resting atop the table. “At least both of your parents are alive,”

“How would you know that?” Y/N questioned confused looking her in the eyes.

“Because… Because I saw them the day you moved in,” Betty mumbled laughing it off through a sad smile. “And I’m sure things will get better between you two,”

“Oh yeah,” Y/N laughed nervously eying their interlocked fingers. “You’re hands are really warm Betty it’s freezing in here,”

“I was about to say the same thing to you,” The blonde laughed unlocking their fingers so that she could slip on her jacket and stand up. “Do you maybe want me to walk you home,” Y/N checked her phone and smiled seeing that her shift was over.

That was how the ended up side by side walking home. The dimly lit sidewalks of the night gave their walk home an eerie yet comforting vibe that couldn’t be ignored. Their hands were close sometimes brushing up against one another as they walked. Most of their walk was silent after a few minutes of small talk here and there.

Betty wanted nothing more than to grab her hand and grip it firmly… Though she waited for Y/N to make the move… To make sure Y/N wanted this just as much as she did. The last thing that she wanted was to scare her off with too quick of a move. Though Y/N grabbed Betty’s hand after minutes of silence coming up close to her housebreaking the silence.

“Y’know popcorn really sounds good right now I think I’m going to see a movie tomorrow would you maybe want to come?”

“Like a date?” Betty questioned referring to their hands.

“Whatever you want it to be,” She reassured going up onto her tippy toes and kissing her cheek softly. “Goodbye, Betty I’ll see you tomorrow at school,”

“B-Bye,” Betty whispered her voice cracking as everything at that moment caused joy to erupt her body.
