LION'S LEGACY
79. Vengeance
In her chambers, Olenna was sitting alone at a table, wearing all black. Robb opened the door and entered the room, causing the Tyrell woman to turn to look at him."It's done?" She questioned and Robb nodded in response.
"It is," Robb nodded in confirmation, slowly making his way over to Olenna.
"Did we fight well?" Olenna found himself asking Robb in a calm tone.
"I suppose as well as can be expected while being outnumbered."
Robb walked to the wine and poured two glasses, one for himself and one for Olenna. "It was never our forte. Golden roses indeed."
Robb walked to where Olenna was sitting and placed both wine glasses on the table before sitting down next to her.
"How will you do it? With that sword?" He questioned, gesturing down to Robb's sheathed sword.
Robb shook his head and Olenna sighed in defeat. "You know, I did many unspeakable things to protect my family, or watched them being done on my orders. I never lost a night's sleep over them, though. They were necessary. And whatever I imagined necessary for the safety of House Tyrell, I did. But your wife...She has done things I wasn't capable of imagining. That was my prize mistake, a failure of imagination. She's a monster, you do know that?"
"To you, maybe. To others as well, I suppose. Not to me, though. I know she had reasoning for everything she did. I've begun to understand that lately more than I ever had before," He explained in a calm tone and Olenna scoffed.
"You love her. You really do love her. You poor fool. She'll be the end of you. She'll be the end of everyone. She's a disease and I regret my role in spreading it. You will too," She continued on and Robb was quick to argue.
"I don't think I will," Robb confessed, shaking his head.
"How will it happen?" She asked, purposely changing the subject.
"My darling wife had several ideas. Whipping you through the streets and beheading you in front of the Red Keep. Flaying you alive and hanging you from the walls of King's Landing. I talked her out of those, thankfully," Robb informed Olenna, slowly lifting up a vial of poison.
He wasted no time pouring it into Olenna's glass before sliding it over to her. "Will it hurt?" She questioned and Robb immediately shook his head.
"No. I made sure of that," Robb assured Olenna in a calm tone.
"That's good," Olenna calmly stated before gulping down the wine without a care in the world.
