Alina's POV:

[The next day]

I  woke up to the sun beginning to rise for a new day. I turned around and see Emma is still asleep, her face almost completely hidden by a giant pillow on the bed. I sit up on the bed and stretch as the sun fully comes into view, before I quietly get out of bed to not wake up Emma.

I walk to my closet and grab a new pair of clothes for the day before walking out of my room. I head downstairs so I can get ready and change in the bathroom, but before I even reach the bathroom, I see Void sitting on the couch staring off into the distance like she's thinking about something.

"Hey Void?" I say trying to get her attention, she jumps a bit as I speak before realizing I was waiting for her to respond.

"Yes?" She replies waiting for me to talk again.

"Are you ok?" I ask a bit curious to why she was spacing off.

"Oh yeah I'm fine. I was just lost in thought is all." She answers with a small smile on her face.

"Ok..." Is all I say before heading for the bathroom again as my curiosity of what she was thinking about plagues my mind.

[Time skip]

After I got ready for the day I walked out of the bathroom and headed towards the kitchen to decide what to make for breakfast. When I get into the kitchen, I start looking at all the ingredients I still had left from the last time I made breakfast, hoping it would be enough to make pancakes for everybody. I started to get to work in the pancakes as Void walked in. She walked over to me and asked, "What are you making?"

I began to mix the pancake batter. "Pancakes. It's the only thing I had enough ingredients for so everybody could get some breakfast." I said while I finished making the first batch of pancakes. Void and I didn't say anything else before we heard the tiny foot steps of Emma come down the stairs.

It only took a minute before Emma came into the kitchen and saw both me and Void, she then proceeded to walk over to her spot at the table and sit down.

"Good morning sleepyhead." I say to Emma with a Smile, she rubs her eyes before smiling back at me. After that the pancakes were finally done so we all sat at the table and ate in silence. Once I finished eating my breakfast, I decided to start a conversation.

"Hey Void... I was wondering if later you would like to go on a walk with me and Emma?" I asked breaking the silence.

"Sure, I don't see why not." Void responded. The rest of breakfast was silent, and it wasn't until we got into the living room when we really started talking, Void being the first to speak.

"Hey Alina, if it's okay with you I would like to know a bit about you, since I'm going to be staying here for a little." At first I was a little surprised that she wanted to know about me, but it only took a second before I responded.

"Yeah sure. I guess I can tell you some stuff on the walk." She nodded in agreement before walking over to Emma to join her game. I guess I should clear out one of the spare rooms for Void, I let out a sigh before getting to work on the room.

After an hour I had finally finished clearing out the room and went to sit down on the couch next to Void. "Hey Void, are you ready for the walk?" I asked her and she smiles before saying sure.

I tell Emma to get her shoes on that I bought her and stand by the door with Void waiting for her to get ready. Two minutes later Emma walks over to us and grabs my hand as I open the door and we began our walk.

[The walk]

Me and Void walked side by side as Emma ran ahead of us playing "So... you said you would tell me about yourself." Void said startling me a bit.

Oh yeah, well what do you want to know about me?" I asked her while we kept on walking. It took her a few minutes before she responded. "I guess one of the things I've been wanting to know about is your past." She told me.

After she said that I had no clue what to say. I mean do I tell her the truth, or do I make something up? Or do I give her some of the truth and nothing else?

My mind raced with hundreds of thought of what to do. Before I decided with or not, I should tell her the truth I re-asked her a question "What's your honest opinion of mythical beings?"

I guess I shocked her at first when I asked her because it took her a few seconds to respond. "I believe it doesn't matter if you have a special magical or mythical ability or not but how you use it and what your personality is but other than that I really don't care, and I believe everyone should be treated equal."

I let out a sigh before I decided to respond to what she wanted to know.

"I'm technically older than you think I am. I was born in 1378 and I was only around 19 when the black plague broke out in Europe. I still can remember every single detail from back then, even the smell of the fires they made to get ride of the dead bodies. Then on one night when I was asleep in my cottage someone broke in and the last thing, I can remember from that night was the sharp pain in my neck caused by a pair of fangs. Since then my life has been completely different."I took in a deep breath and waited for her to say something, but she didn't say anything.

A few minutes later she started to say something. "How many people have you lost?"

"Every single person I have known..." I responded as we continued our walk. After that every thing was quiet, too quiet.

I looked around before I realized Emma was no longer there...
