"Yeah, just... just set it there." Harper puts your luggage down right in front of your room. You unlocked the door with a key and pushed it open to reveal a nearly empty apartment.

Harper's been to your apartment complex many times before, but she never went into your room.

"Are you... moving somewhere?" She asked worriedly as she pushed the luggage in.

"No, I'm just poor." You grumbled. Harper covered her mouth with the palm of her hand. Whoops, she didn't mean to cause any offence.

"I'm sorry."

"Okay." You tiredly replied. Harper sighed and frowned.

You turned around. "Thanks. Harper." A tight-lipped smile made its way to your face.

She beamed and replied: "Anything for you." You stared at her. Maybe she didn't get the hint yet, so you repeated.

"Thank you. Harper." You shifted your eyes towards the door and back to her. Her smile faltered a bit but she still tries to maintain a happy face.

"Anytime." You blinked rapidly at her deliberate cluelessness.

"Okay, I um. Need you to—" you used your thumb to point at the exit. "—yeah." You flashed a fake toothy smile.

"I-I can stay with you a little longer." she stammered. You shook your head.

"I'm really jet-lagged, I won't be awake to talk to you." You dropped your friendly facade.

"I can keep you company—"

"No, Harper. Go home. I wanna be alone for a bit." You crossed your arms. Her eyebrows are knitted and her eyes became filled with tears.

"Please... don't push me away." Her voice was barely above whisper.

"Again with your damn waterworks! Just go home, I'll talk to you tomorrow!" You started pushing her out, but she wouldn't budge. Her arms wrapped around you again.

"Please..." you were baffled, what does it take to make her leave you alone!? The more you push, the tighter her hold becomes.

You are extremely tired, you need to find a way to make her leave so you could sleep in peace. As a last resort, you grabbed her by the collar and kissed her on the lips.

This obviously surprised the stronger female since she lost her grip on you. The sudden contact puts her in a state of shock, too dazed to do anything else.

"Go, go, go, go! Get out!" You successfully shoved her out of your room. Maybe a bit too harsh because she lost her balance and fell on her rear. "See you tomorrow!" You slammed the door shut and latched it.

She stared at the door for a short while before slowly getting up and dusting herself.

Her fingers gingerly touched her lips while she walked down the flight of stairs to her car, still quite stunned. Harper sat in the driver's seat of her car and stared out of the windshield.

Her shoulder began to shake as she giggled in a hand. The other was trembling and making sure that all the windows were rolled up.

Harper let the loudest squeal escape her smiling lips, her cheeks were painted a rosy hue as she let her mind replay the heavenly moment between the both of you.

She hugged her arms, imagining you to be in them.

"I still have a chance... I still have a chance..." she shakily chanted over and over as she quiver in excitement. Another squeal resonates through the car as she threw herself back on her seat.
