Chapter 12: Close

It was a beautiful sunny day in North Carolina. I was really happy today. It was one of those days I'll start off happy but then if someone kills my vibe I'll rip off someone's head. I was trying on some of the clothes I bought yesterday in mirror. Then I tried on a strapless floral dress that went above my knees. It had pink and white flowers all over it. "Perfect", I smiled bright and went in my bathroom. I crinkled my hair and let it flow down my back.

I put on my white sandals and went downstairs happy. "Good morning everyone" I said loud and happy for everyone to hear. "Someone's happy" Nash said. "Ooh you got the 'D'" Carter said and I gave him a death stare. "You know I would slap you right now but I don't think your brain would understand the concept of pain!" I yelled in his ear. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a plate of pancakes and sat down with them watching the tv.

"Hey kid you don't have practice today" Cameron said sutton next to me.

"Okay" I said with a mouth full of pancakes. After watching and eating I put my empty plate in the sink. "I'm going to the park!" I yelled to them. "Ride?!" Cameron asked.

"Nah I'm good!" I said and ran outside. Then I went to the community park that was just around the corner. I walked on the bridge and just relaxed there for a moment. I looked up at the sky.

Mom if you can hear me I want you to know that I'm doing great. See these guys adopted me to make my life better. And don't worry I have a female role model too. Her name is Mahogany, you know like the movie. I even have a boyfriend. His name is Hayes. Yes I still dance and it's amazing. Lexi is still my best friend in the world. Please don't forget I love you.

I walked down the bridge and decided I wanted to start my morning off with Starbucks. I walked there and got a cotton candy frap as usually and a muffin. I drank it and ate it there and started walking back home when I got pulled somewhere. The person took me to a dark end of an alley and pushed me against the wall. "Please don't hurt me, I don't understand what I did wrong" I pleaded. "Shut up" he said and him and another guy tied me in rope. They put a scarf around my mouth and put me in the car. Then I saw Lexi next to me struggling.

As they drove I saw Lexi had a pocket knife in her pocket. The one where it has the screwdriver and knifes and everything. I scooted over near her and signaled with my eyes to her pocket. She looked down and nodded. We knew just what to do. They drove up to an abandoned building and they went outside talking to another guy. I grabbed knife from behind my back and cut her ropes. Then she broke free cutting mine. Then we took off the scarfs and we ran out the car.

They grabbed us from behind and I decided to do this a childish way. I saw a bike was by the back door. I ran to it and hugged it. Lexi gave me that 'What the fuck are you doing?' look and I winked at her and she knew what I was doing. The she ran over to me and knocked down the bike. "Hey! You just kicked my bike!" I yelled and took the bike and put it up in the hair. Lexi ducked down as I pretended to throw the bike and the guys kept running over to us. "Wait you can't throw that bike on her!" They said and pulled me back. "Well unlucky for you I still have that bike.....I'm getting my revenge!" I yelled and Lexi and I ran off.

"I guess watching rewinds of Katherine and Rachel do pay off" Lexi said and I laughed. We ran as the same black truck followed us. We were close to my house and we stopped at the stop sign panting. They got out the truck and hurt us a little. Then we took off back to my house. We ran in and landed on the couch. "Lexi? Izzy? What happened what's wrong?" Cameron asked. I tried to talk but I couldn't process to say words.

Then I blacked out.

Cameron's P.O.V.

Isabelle started to explain but then started panicking and blacked out. Now we laid her on the couch with an ice pack on her head and we were fanning her. Lexi explained what happened to them. "You think she'll wake up?" Lexi asked. "She'll be fine" I said and smiled. We kept fanning and she slowly woke up. "Who hit me with a brick on the head?" She said and felt her head. "No one silly, who had a panic attack and kindablacked out". Lexi replied.

"Oh that was close though". Then her and Lexi went up to there rooms. "Hey Cam were out of Doritos!" Nash yelled from the kitchen. "And what do you want me to do about it?". He gave me a 'bruh' look. "Go get some more Dorritos! If we ran out of toilets you would get more toilets and if we ran out of water what would you do?" He said.

"Well we kinda need water to live so.." I trailed off. "The same with Dorritos now go!" He said and I took the car to the grocery store. I walked in and went to the chip aisle. I saw some Dorritos and I grabbed three bags. Then I saw two guys fighting by the soup stack. The soup stack was like very tall like taller than me. I saw this girl by the stand. She had the prettiest crystal blue eyes and brown hair.

Then one of the guys bumped into the stack and was falling. "Look out!" I yelled and pushed her put the way. Then I helped her up from the ground as we got up. "That was close" I said. "Oh my Gosh thankyou so much you saved me from being crashed by soups" she said. "No problem what's your name?" I asked her. "Chloe" she smiled as she looked in my eyes. "Oh I'm sorry what's yours?" she asked. "Cameron" I said. "Well Cameron I hope we meet again" she said. "We can u-uh here I'll give you my number" I said.

"I don't usually give guys my number like that" she said. "Oh". "But we can meet up somewhere since you saved me from soup" she laughed. "O-Oh okay how about Cardinal Park?" I said. "That's good um how about tomorrow say sixish?" She said. "Yeah six well be fine" I said. We'll see you later Cameron" she said and walked off smiling. "Yes!" I did a small victory cheer. I grabbed the Doritos and left.
