Chapter 40: Liars

When I got to my phone and called Lexi I told her what I thought the boys had planned. So Lexi and I were going over Hayes for an explanation. We were in the car and we drove down the street to his house. "I hope he tells the truth", Lexi said. "Yeah me too", I said as I pulled in his driveway. We got out the car and walked up to the front door. When Hayes opened the door his eyes widened. "W-What are you doing here?", he asked and we walked in.

"Hayes tell us exactly what the guys told you", I said sternly. "They didn't say-"No ifs, ands, or buts", Lexi interrupted. "They told me to stay away from you guys or else. Then made up some story if I didn't and that's why I had to play along that time", he said with shimmering eyes of truth and I huffed. "Look you guys shouldn't be here", he said. "No Hayes it's okay you can talk to us. Just they can't", I said and walked out the door. Lexi followed after me and I started driving back to my house.

"I can't believe they would do something like that!", I yelled. "What if Hayes was lying though?", Lexi asked. "No I can tell when Hayes is lying or not, and when the guys came to Hayes house, he looked upset", I said and pulled into my driveway. When I walked in Chloe and Cameron were fighting. "But you still kept kissing her Cameron! And you knew I was there", Chloe said with tears streaming down her face. "What's going on?", I asked softly. "We were out in public and a fan asked Cameron for a kiss. He said yes and kissed her for like a minute and I was standing right there!", she said.

I glared at Cameron. "You did?", he said and rolled his eyes. "But the thing was, she wasn't even a fan....she was his ex", she said. "I can't believe you Cameron", I said and went upstairs with Lexi after me. We went in my room and sat down. "Can you call the boys for me? So we can talk this out I need to grab some tissues for Chloe", I asked Lexi. "Aww your so nice", she smiled and began typing numbers on the phone. I smiled back and went to the bathroom. I grabbed the tissues and went downstairs. I saw Chloe sitting on the couch sniffling. "Hey", I said softly and she looked up. I handed her the tissues. "Thanks Izzy", she said and smiled.

I smiled back and the doorbell rang. Lexi came downstairs. "They're here", she said and I opened the door. "Hey", they said and stepped in. They sat on the couch. "So what did you wanna talk about?", Dylan said an Chloe got up to the kitchen. "Did you threaten Hayes to back off?", Lexi came out and said and the guys looked back at each other. "Did Hayes tell you this?", Jim asked. "No, well I'm not stupid enough to know that if Cameron didn't say anything, then he must of not told him that "lie", I said.

"Yeah and my parents still doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about, but there sure upset we didn't tell them together after I came out and said it", Lexi said standing up. "Look we were just worried about you guys with Hayes", Dylan said and held my hand. "I can take care of myself!", I yelled yanking away my hand. "And I didn't think you guys were dumb enough to do that", I said angry. They sighed and looked down. "Well I don't know why your getting mad at us we're just trying to be good boyfriends!", Dylan yelled.

"Really? Good boyfriends? You must be going crazy", Lexi said and sat down. "You have no idea how we feel! Your not being a good boyfriend by threatening my friend and lying to us!", Lexi yelled. "Well you never know what could happen!", Dylan yelled. "Do you guys not trust us?", I asked and they sighed. "Wow", Lexi whispered. "You know what I'm done", I said and ran my fingers through my hair. "Yeah me too", Lexi said. "With what?", Jim asked worriedly.

Lexi and I looked at each other then looked at them. "This relationship", we said in unison. "You don't put enough faith in this relationship", I said in a soft voice. "And if you can't trust me, I don't think you should be with me then", Lexi said. "What you can't just- "Get out", I cut Dylan off. "What?" "I said get out!", I yelled. "No", Jim and him said in unison. "You have the nerve to tell her no in her own house?", Lexi asked. "No it's fine hold on", I said and went upstairs to my room. I grabbed a bag and put clothes in it. I grabbed fifty bucks out my jar and my phone charger.

I went downstairs and saw Lexi still on the couch. "Chloe is it okay if Lexi and I can stay at your place for the night?!", I yelled with a tear rolling down my face. "Yeah", she said walking in. "Let's go now, I can't stand to be in a house full of liars and cheaters", Lexi said and we walked out the door to Chloe's house.
