Reader's POV
When I got home that night, I've never felt as thrilled as I had then.
Mr. and Mrs. Parr receiving my powers well brought me such immense relief, despite them being Supers themselves. Needless to say, Jack-Jack was overjoyed. He rushed over and asked me to do what I just did with the water from the sink again, but Mrs. Parr stopped him and lightheartedly said to not pressure me.
Soon, we were all sitting down at the dinner table, and I was explaining more things about myself. I told everyone when exactly I started learning how to use my powers, and when I first went out in costume. To my surprise, Mr. and Mrs. Parr were really invested in my tale. I thought they'd find it boring.
I of course revealed I was Whirlpool, that Super that helped them catch those bank robbers that night months ago. Mr. Parr asked if I've been going out suited up after that time, which reminded me to explain the whole deal about me getting stabbed. They all realized everything then, and understood when I said I haven't gone out since then, mostly since my suit was damaged. I'd probably need to find out how to fix it, or get a new one somehow.
I saw Mr. Parr's expression change then, becoming thoughtful. I'm still wondering what he was thinking about.
We all conversed for some hours after that, with Mrs. Parr occasionally chiming in since she had to get dinner started. She and Mr. Parr told me some of the escapades they themselves have had over the years, and I absorbed every word. It was cool, really cool, to hear the stories of Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible from the heroes themselves.
I ended up staying for dinner, and Dash took me home. During the trip, he told me it really made him happy to see me hanging out with his family like that. I told him it was fun, and I think that made him even happier. Seeing his beaming smile made me feel all warm inside.

Now, this Saturday morning, after having gotten breakfast, I sat in my bedroom trying to figure out what to do today.
My first thought was spending time with Dash, but I didn't know what we could do. I myself didn't care about that, but I didn't want Dash to be bored. I knew I could just sit somewhere alone with him and be fine, but I'm not sure he felt the same. He'd probably want to do something; something fun.
But, what? I guess we could go to the movies, but I don't know what's playing. Maybe we could...go to the mall or something...
The sound of my phone suddenly ringing made me jump, and I rushed over to my dresser to grab it. The screen showed it was Dash calling, so I answered.
"Good morning." I greeted him, walking back to my bed.
"Good morning~." His cheerful tone lifted my mood. "Whatcha doing?"
"Nothing much. Just thinking about what to do today."
"Did you have any ideas?"
"No, not really."
"Oh? Well...I have one. Wanna hear it?"
"Yeah."
"...Let's go out into town, and hang out. Suited up and all."
I was surprised to hear that suggestion. Not once did the thought of us going out in costume occur to me, but...I had to admit, it did sound exciting.
"Sure. Sounds like it could be fun." Yet, there was a problem.
"But, my suit still has that hole in it. I'm not sure how to fix it."
"Oh yeah, that's...a problem. How big's the hole?"
