Johnlock Potter!lock AU

Third Year

"Sherlock, you shouldn't be reading in class. You'll get in trouble again" John whispered

"I know this topic better then the teacher does" Sherlock replies while still reading. John just rolls his eyes and tries to focus on the lesson, but his eyes keep drifting to Sherlock. He can't help but stare at his best friend. Wait... do I like him like him? No I've always only liked girls. But I've never felt so strongly as I do with Sherlock as I do with girls. I think I might like Sherlock. Dear God please no. Sherlock will deduce it right away. 

While John has his internal crisis, he doesn't notice Sherlock glance at him. Sherlock can tell right away that something is troubling John, and he doesn't like it when John's distressed 

"What's wrong John" Sherlok asked

"What? Um, n-nothing. Nothing, I'm fine" John stutters out and Sherlock rolls his eyes

"John really? You are a terrible liar you know. Even ordinary people would be able to tell when your lying"  Sherlock says "Now what's upsetting you?" Sherlock asks. Then John gets an idea

"I think I might be gay. Or bi at least" He whispers. It isn't a lie. It's just not the whole truth

"Are you worried about your parents?" Sherlock asked

Oh dear God my parents. I didn't even think about them. They're going to murder me. They might actually murder me.

"Yah. I'm terrified about them" John states "They pushed Harry into drugs you know. They're the reason she is addicted. They're the reason I lost my sister. Sherlock, they beat her so bad she was in the hospital for a week when she came out. The only reason they aren't in jail is because my father is friends with every officer where I live and they all believed his lie."

"They will never hurt you John. I will never let them hurt you." Sherlock says

"Mr. Holmes, Mr. Watson, do you have something you'd like to share with the class?" the postion teacher asks

"Yes, in fact" Sherlock says "I have something I'd like to share. You were just divorced for the second time. Your only child just moved out and now you're considering getting another cat now. Your third. No wait, fourth. And you're sleeping with-"

"Mr. Holmes that's enough! You two! Go to the Headmasters office right now!" The professor screamed

"Yes ma'am" John said before the boys gathered their things and left the class. Once in the hall Sherlock turned to John and said "John, you know I don't care about your sexual orientation, but I will keep it a secret if you'd like" 

The first part was a bit of a lie though. Sherlock was estatic. He might just have a chance with John

"Could you please?" John asked

"Of course John. Anything for you" Sherlock said with a small smile

"Then how about you stop getting me into trouble?" John asked jokingly

"I don't think I could ever guarantee that my dear Watson" Sherlock said with his smile growing before running down the hall towards the headmaster's office with John a few steps behind him.
