After exercising, I stood quietly
Slowly as trees
Sensing the air bubbles in my knees:
Land mines that didn't
Explode
As I fell asleep.
I sent a notice to the Night Department
Complaining
About the buzzing in my right ear -
That was my earphone
Ringing.
It gave me precautions: to go to bed early,
To do all my duty by morning
And not worry.
Today I slept before 12,
And opened my eyes before 8.
I thought it'll be best to stay optimistic.
I took a flight toward the sky.
I grew taller than trees,
I reached space.
