Jonathan's POV:
Crystal and I went back to the barn, but instead of myself putting away the horse, Crystal took the lead away from me and lead him to his stall. I looked back at the field and saw Kammie turned completely around, with Estelle looking at her feet.
"What's going on out there?" I mumbled.
"How should I know. And don't bother asking them, Kammie will just yell at you to butt out and Estelle will say it's none of your business and then they'll keep whispering about it," Crystal said laughing.
Why are all of her friends so weird? I thought.
I kept watching them until Kammie turned around with a look like she was going to kill some one. She made eye contact with me and stared me down. I turned around and went back in. I sat on what everyone calls a "tack box".
Kammie came in with Estelle's horse, after about ten minutes of waiting. She wouldn't look at me, but when I did catch her attention she glared at me. She finished with the horse and turned to me with a look of disgust on her face. Not quite disgust though.
"Who do you think you are?!" Was the first thing she said. "Kissing my best friend! Did you even think about her view on the whole kissing thing! And most of all allowing her to take you to the place she values the most. She's hardly even known you a week!"
"I would have stopped her of I knew-" I started.
"Don't even try fighting with her. She always wins against the ones that don't know her like she knows herself." Estelle finally came in and was leaning against the door post. "Kammie, can we go now?"
"Umm, yeah. Here take my keys and start the car. We will be right there." Kammie threw the keys to Estelle. She caught them and walked to the car. I started to walk, but Kammie grabbed the back of my T-shirt pulling me back.
"Look I get it. You like her. I think she likes you too, but if you put even the tiniest of cracks in her heart. You're a dead man," she let go and walked passed me to the car. I could tell this wasn't some kind of middle school threat girl's friends would give to their best friend's boyfriend, but a real threat. I was terrified.

Estelle's POV:
Kammie stormed out after, I assume, she threatened Jonathan. She got in the driver's seat and slammed the door. She kept mumbling something under her breath, I leaned over the consul to hear what she was saying.
"I swear, I swear, I swear," she went on and on until Jonathan got in the back, and she cut off. With out saying a word she started the car. When I looked back in the mirror, Jonathan had an expression of sheer terroir. Yep, she threatened him. He made eye contact with me, and seemed to relax. He smiled, but it faded away. I hadn't realized we had stopped. I look over to Kammie, and she was staring at Jonathan with her look when she just threatened someone. The whole ride back was eerily quiet.
Kammie pulled into my driveway, as I finished texting Nicki Jonathan got out and opened the door for me.
"My lady," he said in a mock fancy voice, and bowing.
Laughing I got out of the car, and curtsied.
"Why, thank you." I said laughing.
Jonathan got up and shut the door. He met me at the front of the truck and took my hand in his.
"Does this mean-"I started.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He interrupted.
I looked into his deep brown eyes. They were hopeful.
"Didn't the kiss tell you?" I replied smiling.
He lightly laughed and shook his head.
"I think I need a second motion," he said.
I laughed and pulled his head down to be level with mine. I pressed my lips to his. He grabbed my waist and lifted me and pulled me closer. I felt weightless. His lips were soft and firm all at once, I wouldn't have let go if Kammie didn't pull us away from each other.
"That's enough," she said.
I pulled away from her grasp and head to the porch to unlock the door.

Jonathan's POV:
After Estelle left Kammie turned to me.
"So now I guess it's official. So now I'm going to give you the official best friend speech. She's my best friend, she's very opinionated, but I swear if you even try to make her do ANYTHING she doesn't wanna do, I'll hurt you. You can kiss her, you can make out with her, but you DO. NOT. BREAK. HER. HEART! You do that and I'll personally kill you." She turned around and ran to the house. I was frozen, I couldn't speak. I was terrified.
