[Andeddo]

I should've seen it coming. How did I fall for such a stupid trick?

Andeddo stumbled out of the glass doors of the building, the world spinning in circles around him. His vision split into several blurry frames, and he felt blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

Of course there was poison in the drinks. How did it slip past my guard? Have I become too trusting?

Of course he was too trusting. He hadn't even brought his weapons or mask with him, since this was supposed to be a regular business meeting.

What do I do now? There's no way I'll get out of here in time.....

A loud boom shocked him out of his stupor.

He held onto a light pole and straightened himself. His vision cleared for a brief moment, and he could see clouds of dust and smoke billowing from the next street over. A second later, the building a distance away started to rumble, and two figures crashed through the walls, sending huge chunks of concrete and rubble flying everywhere.

It was a Hero dressed in green and white, his skin aglow with red streaks and surrounded by crackles of green energy. He was fighting a large misshapen creature with a bird-like beak and a human body, brains protruding from its head. Sadly enough, he recognized both of them.

The Hero was another student from the UA Sports Festival, Izuku Midoryia. He held a strange and mysterious quirk that boosted his physical abilities and delivered strong damage, though it seemed to be a bit too strong for him to handle properly, thus hurting him as well. If that wasn't bad enough, he was also the #1 Hero and the newest Symbol of Peace.

His opponent was what was considered a Nomu, a giant murder bird from a lab experiment that had been made by the League of Villains years ago for the express purpose of destroying the Pro Heroes, specifically All Might. They were believed to have either died out or been defeated, but it seemed that there were still a few stronger strays left.

While the two battled it out in the distance, he tried to make his way to the other side of the road. Across from him, a rippling waterway ran through the city and out towards the sea, lined by a small metal railing. His vision was starting to darken, and the noises faded to a buzz in the background.

No.....I can't blackout.....not here.....not now.....

[Shinso]

The moment he heard the sound of fighting, he slung his backpack over his shoulder and ran towards the noise.

Donning his Persona Chords and the Binding Cloth, he arrived to see Deku battling with an old Nomu. Deku seemed to be handling it well, but they were moving around so much, he couldn't keep up. Besides, he thought to himself, what good would his quirk do for an enemy that didn't even know how to speak?

Then out of nowhere, he picked up a quiet sound behind him. He looked back, and low and behold, there was a civilian standing by the side of the waterway. Why hadn't they evacuated yet?

But.....something was off.....

It was a young man wearing a black suit with a dark green tie, his black hair tied back in a familiar long ponytail. He leaned over the railing, not seeming to notice the battle that was going on just down the street. Not only that, but he looked weak, as if he was about to collapse on the spot. For some reason, he gave off a dark, unnatural vibe altogether.

Just as soon as they locked eyes, his hand slipped, sending him over the side of the railing and into the water with a splash. Hitoshi flinched and immediately started sprinting after him. He vaulted over the railing and dove into the current, holding his breath. He slid through the water like a seal, occasionally stroking his arms to speed himself up.

He managed to catch up in the slow-moving water, but the man was unconscious at this point. Hooking an arm around his waist, Shinso dragged him over to the side and pulled him out of the water.

Now that he had the time, he carefully observed the man. He recognized him almost instantly. It was that guy from the gym a few weeks ago, the one who was using the katana. What the hell was he doing here?

Both of them were soaking wet, and the blasts of air from the nearby fight weren't helping. He shivered from the cold water. Strangely, the guy's skin was warm to the touch. Hitoshi put a hand to his forehead, only to find that he was seriously burning up.

"What in the hell is going on?" he muttered to himself.
