[Shinso]
"Are you sure it's poison? Isn't there anything you can do for him?"
Recovery Girl shook her head, glancing at the young man on the couch, "My quirk is meant for healing physical injuries. It is not strong enough to expel chemicals from every cell in the body. I'm sorry my boy, but there is nothing more I can do."
Hitoshi looked down at the unconscious man, who was covered in sweat. "I see..........thank you for coming out here anyway. It was a big favor to ask." Recovery Girl sighed, "Think nothing of it, my boy. Keep tabs on him for now and be sure to inform me if he recovers."
He nodded and opened the door for her, watching as his last hope disappeared into the bustling city.
[Andeddo]
His eyes fluttered open once more. His first thought was of how long he had been out.
Rubbing his eyes, he glanced around at his surroundings.
He was laying on a couch in what looked to be a small apartment. The walls were grey and the only furniture he could see was a small TV on a table and an oval rug. He realized that his suit was off, laying over the back of the couch, and that his clean white dress shirt was soaked with sweat and water. He sat up to get a better look and the room, but a stab of pain arced through his body, forcing him to lay back down. He winced, "New mental note: You're still poisoned, idiot." He heard rustling and froze, dead silent.
"Finally awake, are ya?" He stayed quiet, craning his neck to see where the voice was coming from.
Sitting in a recliner just a few feet away was none other than Hitoshi Shinso the Pro Hero.
Andeddo groaned, "Where the hell am I.........." Hitoshi smiled, "You're currently at my place." His heart dropped, "Oh." The Hero chuckled, "Don't worry, I won't bite. Though, I have to say, that's a real nasty situation you're in. Poison, ey? What exactly happened?" Andeddo bit his lip, but seeing the position he was in, he couldn't come up with a good enough lie on the spot, so he just stuck with the basics.
"I was in a business meeting with some sketchy guy from a rival business agency. I didn't realize it fast enough, but there was some sort of poison in the drinks he offered me. It made me a bit disoriented, but I managed to make it outside just before his goons cornered me."
Hitoshi stared at him for a moment, as if lost in thought. "Wow, you must've had a rough day....." Andeddo chuckled, wincing at the pain in his chest, "That's an understatement. I would prefer a fist fight to this any day." His eyes widened, "OH GOD, I FORGOT TO FINISH MY PAPERWORK!" He coughed, feeling blood leak through his teeth.
Hitoshi was at his side in seconds, "Holy crap, are you okay?!" Andeddo smirked, "I'm fine. It just feels like acid is eating away at my insides, which it probably is. That guy wasn't messing around." Hitoshi looked at him with a weird expression, "You must be nuts. You talk like this doesn't bother you at all."
Andeddo took a deep breath and replied, "That's just it, it doesn't. Sadly enough, I'm used to this kind of pain. It almost feels natural." Hitoshi was quiet. "Sorry, I'm probably weirding you out." He slid his legs over the side of the couch and sat up, forcing himself to suck it up. "Welp, I should go." He tried to stand, but he fell on his knees. Hitoshi grabbed his arm, "Oh Hell No. You aren't going anywhere. You're poisoned, and quite possibly dying. You think a Hero would just leave you to die in an alley somewhere?"
Andeddo could feel his neck getting sweaty. If he didn't leave now, Hitoshi would find out about his quirk for sure. "I'll be fine. All I need is some medicine and I'll be good as new." Hitoshi shook his head, "Then I'll go get it myself. I won't leave an honest civilian to fend for themself when I can do something about it." Andeddo smiled, "Well, well. You're really serious about being a Hero, Mr. Shinso."
He flinched, "W-What?! How do you know my name?!" Andeddo laughed nervously, "Well, you are a famous Hero, you know." Totally not because I'm a complete stalker.
Hitoshi stroked his chin, "Come to think of it, you haven't told me your name yet. You obviously know mine." Andeddo chuckled, "Oh yeah! My name is Heishi. Andeddo Heishi. A pleasure to meet you."
Suddenly he convulsed, coughing up about half a pint of blood into his hand and onto the floor. Hitoshi backed up just in time not to get splattered with it, but then he quickly caught Andeddo, who had almost fallen on his face. "H-Hey! Are you alright?!"
He was breathing heavily now, "Nevermind. I don't think medicine will fix this after all." Hitoshi picked him up bridal style and repositioned him back on the couch, a hand on his burning forehead. "You idiot! You didn't say that it was this bad!" Andeddo yawned, wiping the blood from his mouth, "Oh, guess I don't really make a fuss about it....." His vision was starting to go dark.
Hitoshi leaned over him, "Hey! You have to stay awake! I'll call an ambulance or something!" Andeddo grabbed his hand, "Don't bother. An ambulance won't make it in time. Just try and look for a nearby doctor or something. I'll be fine for a few more minutes." He nodded and bolted out the door as fast as he could.
Andeddo sighed, the blood soaking into his shirt as the world went dark.
