Chapter One: Take Me There

Nishinoya gently placed his chin on the palm of his hand as he stared down at a small village through the clouds. He watched as children played in the fields and people picked fruit from the trees. The skies were painted a beautiful ocean blue, the sun beaming brightly, a perfect painting. One thing wondered his mind, what is it like to live the life of a human? He had no idea. Nishinoya had spent his whole existence in heaven. Since the day he was created, he only knew obedience, rule, and the ongoing war with hell. He was always curious about everything, to the point where he got into trouble a lot. But Nishinoya could care less. It got so boring in heaven at times; well most of the time, with the same old routine everyday, he could only imagine the amount of things to do on earth. Everyday would be an adventure. Nishinoya let his thoughts sink in as he continued to watch the children prance around the field. That's when he got an idea, he decided he would sneak down to earth. He would be able to get out of this cell and live a little for once. This got Nishinoya all fired up and he couldn't contain his excitement.

He stepped back from the window and glanced around his room looking for what he should bring. He grabbed his lucky earring and walked to the mirror, poking it into his left lobe before dropping the cross and letting it dangle on the chain. Nishinoya stared at himself for a few seconds before farrowing his eyebrows. He gently picked up a small piece of his bangs and sighed, setting the hairs back down. "I really need a new hairstyle.. I look so lame." He puffed out his cheeks in annoyance.

Nishinoya began to think of all the opportunities he will have going to Earth, he became so lost in his daydream he didn't hear his door open.

"Hey! Noya!" a voice called, tapping on Nishinoya's shoulder.

Nishinoya jumped and whipped around, revealing the intruder as his friend, Tanaka. "Tanaka! You scared the crap outta me, don't do that!" Nishinoya whined.

Tanaka just let out a roaring laugh while patting the shorter angel on the head. "You should've seen your face!" He choked, "I wish I had a camera to keep that moment forever!"

Nishinoya growled, "Hey! You don't shut it, I'll have to throw you out the window!" He pouted as he folded his arms across his chest. "What do you want anyway?"

"I just wanna see what my good old buddy pal was up to! Is that such a crime?" A sly grin formed on Tanaka's face, "so, what were you daydreaming about?"

Nishinoya froze for a second before swallowing hard. He knows if anyone were to find out his plan of leaving, he was done for. But he should be able to trust Tanaka, he is Nishinoya's best friend after all. His partner in crime, his cuddle buddy when he feels alone, his ride or die, his wing man; literally. But with all those concepts, can Nishinoya trust his friend to keep his mouth shut?

Nishinoya sighed and looked at Tanaka with a hard stare. "You better not tell a single soul about this, you got it?"

Tanaka, dumbfounded, blinked a few times before smiling and standing up straight. "I've got your back! You know that! I won't tell anyone, unless you are going to finally founsd that special angel, then I can't promise anything." He smirked.

"Tanaka!"

"Okay, okay! I won't tell a soul." Tanaka put his arms up in surrender.

Nishinoya took a deep breath before looking at his friend, "I'm leaving heaven."

Tanaka paused for a second and stared at the shorter angel before bursting into laughter, "Nice one, Noya! You almost had me that time!" He hooted, ruffling Nishinoya's hair more violently.

Nishinoya furrowed his eyebrows, "I'm not joking.."
Tanaka's smile faded when he noticed the serious tone in Nishinoya's voice. He sat upright and turned from the shorter angel slightly, glancing out the window. "Leave heaven, huh?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Noya! Are you nuts!?" Tanaka snapped. "We aren't allowed to leave! Do you know what the headmasters would do to you if you left?! You'd be banned from heaven! Maybe even sent to hell!"

"If they catch me."

"IF they catch you? Noya!-"

"Come on, Tanaka! It will be ten times better than living in this place! Don't you want some freedom for once? To be able to feel grass between your toes? To feel like you have no worries? To live just a little?!"

Tanaka paused and his eyes trailed to the ground. Nishinoya had a point. "What if you do get caught?"
"I won't. Time on earth passes by faster than it does up here. A week on earth is a day in heaven.. That's all I'm asking for, one week of freedom."

Tanaka sighed heavily, "Okay, but I'm only agreeing to this because you are my best friend.. Just.. don't get hurt."

Nishinoya beamed, "Thank you, Tanaka!" He cheered, throwing himself onto the taller angel.
Tanaka pried Nishinoya off of him, "Yeah, yeah! Come on, get off me now." He gave a slight chuckle to the brunette.

Nishinoya released the angel and jumped to the ground. Placing his hands on his hips and took a deep breath in. "I'm so fired up now!"

"Just don't do anything stupid." Tanaka ruffled the top of Nishinoya's head.

Nishinoya bathered out a laugh. "Come on, Tanaka! I'm not that reckless!"

Tanaka raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms with a 'yeah right' look. Nishinoya rolled his eyes and walked to his mirror and smiled widely. "I don't wanna waste anymore time than I have to, time is going by so fast down there! Don't wanna miss it!"

He grabbed his angel blade for defense and shoved it into his back pocket. He turned to face Tanaka who had a worried expression plastered on his face. Nishinoya walked to the angel and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'll be fine." He assured.

The taller angel sighed slightly, "do you know how to get out?"

"Yep. It's that one door behind the fountain of youth!"

"Yeah, but everyone uses that door! You'd get caught for sure!"

"Not if you're sneaky like me!" Nishinoya squaked pointing his thumb at himself.

Tanaka sighed, doubting his friend is that stealthy. He just hoped Nishinoya was sneaky enough to get past the angels guarding the door. "Alright. Be careful."

The taller angel held up his fist, the shorter doing the same as they gently clashed their knuckles together.

"I'll be back in a week."
