Nishinoya has been living with Shoyo for a couple days now. These couple days have been the best days of his existence. Nishinoya has learned so much in the little time he spent on earth. He learned about the different forms of music humans created and listened to, the different options of food; though he can't taste food, and he learned how to play Volleyball which was Shoyo's favorite sport. Shoyo even said that the angel was naturally gifted at receives, which surprised Nishinoya since he hadn't really played it before. Shoyo also helped the angel with a new hair style. They dyed a section of Nishinoya's bangs blonde and Shoyo bought some hair gel that he can experiment with. The angel ended with his natural hair spiked up as the bleached hair dangled on his forehead. He felt like a thunderbolt. So cool.

Nishinoya found earth fascinating and full of opportunities, and he wanted to learn everything about it as soon as possible.

Shoyo and Nishinoya sat on the curb outside the Sakanoshita store licking the popsicles Shoyo had bought them. Nishinoya stared at his popsicle in wonder, how do humans enjoy such a creation? Maybe it's just me... Man, I wish I could taste what Shoyo tastes. Shoyo glanced at the thinking angel, tilting his head slightly before he looked at his popsicle then the sky.

"Noya-san.." The ginger spoke softly trying not to scare him.

Nishinoya, snapping out of his trance, turned towards the boy. "Wh-What's up, Shoyo?"

"Do you miss heaven?"

The angel blinked a few times trying to process what the boy asked him. "Miss heaven?"

Shoyo looked at the concrete street as a yearning smile spread across his cheeks, "Are you going to go back?"

"Shoyo.." Nishinoya interrupted the ginger's mourning questions with a hand on Shoyo's.

Shoyo glanced up at the angel, his blissful eyes turning heavy hearted. Nishinoya's expression soften at the clearly upset human. He didn't want to leave, he wanted to stay with Shoyo forever. The feeling of their souls being connected by fate was too strong.

"Do I miss heaven?" Nishinoya finally said breaking the silence.

Nishinoya took his hand off Shoyo's and leaned back, looking at the sky. "It's misunderstood that heaven is this perfect place. That everyone is safe. Everyone is at peace. Everyone has freedom.." He paused as his gaze faltered to the ground. "The truth is, it's not.. It's cold, isolated, and controlling. Everyone has to be a good little soldier or you get punished. There is no such thing as 'peace' in heaven.. And adding on the ongoing war with hell, it's far from perfect... So to answer your questions. No. I don't miss heaven. And I don't want to go back. I want to stay here." A gentle grin spread across his cheeks as he glanced at Shoyo. "Here with you."

Shoyo almost burst into tears. He flung himself onto the angel, embracing him into a tight hug. "Noya-san, don't say stuff like that!" He exclaimed.

There was something in the ginger's voice when he said it, something Nishinoya couldn't pinpoint. It was tenderhearted and yet nullifying. But in that moment, Nishinoya could only think about Shoyo in his arms.

"We should get back." Shoyo spoke softly, pulling out of the embrace. His cheeks were rosy and a warm smile stained his face, filling Nishinoya with joy.

The angel nodded as they both stood from the curb, tossing their popsicle sticks into a nearby trash can, the two trailed back to Shoyo's house.

Shoyo and Nishinoya arrived at the house and tossed their shoes against the wall before both flopping onto the couch. Shoyo inhaled deeply before letting out a long, hard sigh. Nishinoya lifted his head from his arms and glanced at the boy. Shoyo noticed his movement and tilted his head backwards to look at the angel. The ginger smiled, a hint of sadness poisoning his curled lips. Nishinoya's expression softened and laid his chin onto his arms, not breaking eye contact with the boy.

"Are you okay?" The angel asked in a hushed voice.

Shoyo was almost shocked by Nishinoya's sudden question. However, he just sighed softly, breaking his eyes away from Nishinoya.

"Fine." He stated simply. "I'm going to head off to sleep.."

Shoyo shifted himself up and stood from the couch before walking out of the room, his eyes never meeting Nishinoya.

The angel laid there, wondering what could be wrong with his friend. Something was definitely wrong. Nishinoya slowly pushed himself into a sitting position and stared at the ground. Did I do something wrong? I don't think I did. What if I did? Did I hurt Shoyo? No, maybe it's a human thing. Why am I worrying so much about this?

Nishinoya's thoughts began to whirl around in his mind. He raised his hands and slapped his cheeks, snapping himself out of the hurricane of anxiety. The angel took a deep breath and let out a deep sigh.

As he collected his thoughts, only one question lingered in his mind.

Why am I getting so worked up over him?
