Nishinoya peered around the corner, his eyes scanning all directions around the fountain. There were two angels standing guard of the glowing white door. One, he recognized the angel as Kageyama, who he had encountered multiple times when he got into trouble like he always did. The second, a taller blonde with glasses which he didn't recognize too much. Tsukishima, Noya believed was his name. He remembered Tanaka telling him about the angel when Tanaka got into trouble for turning Daichi's angel blade pink. Nishinoya shuddered at the taller angel's stern stare into the distance, almost like a crow preying on a mouse. He's scarier than I pictured.. And taller.. Nishinoya thought. He fully submerged himself in his hiding spot, his back pressed against the wall. How the hell am I going to get past them?

"Hey!"

Nishinoya froze. Shit.

His whole body tensed. Dramatic images of himself in hell replayed in his head trillions of times over again. He really should have listened to Tanaka. Going to earth was absurd. The thought of tasting freedom became so venomous to him now, he felt so greedy.

Nishinoya shut his eyes tightly. Hoping the two guards just thought it was something else. He was so close. He can't just give it up now.

"Where do you think you are going?!" A voice boomed.

"Taking a break.. This job gets so boring." The other stated simply.

Nishinoya's eyes flew open as he heard the conversation. Relief flooded his vessel as he relaxed against the wall. Thank fuck, they didn't see me.

"Dumbass! There are no breaks for us!"

"I don't care. It's not like it matters anyway."

Footsteps faded out of the room followed by a loud, irritated groan mumbling 'damn four eyed bastard' before more footsteps followed.

"Don't think I'll let you get away with this!" The angel's voice faded as they traveled down the hall.

Nishinoya gently poked his head out of his hiding spot and scanned the room. Not a single trace of movement was in the room besides the light flowing through the cracks of the door behind the fountain. He really got lucky this time. Nishinoya didn't have much time before the angels would come back. He quickly and swiftly flew from his spot and to the door. Suddenly, nerves flooded his body. Should I really be doing this? His mind wondered. Nishinoya shook his head, pushing his thoughts away.

"No, you are doing this." He mumbled softly to himself before reaching his hand to the door knob. He gently swung the door open and peered into the blinding light. This is it. Nishinoya can finally get the taste of freedom he's wanted for so long.

With this, he stepped through the door, letting the light consume his body.

Nishinoya's eyes fluttered open as bright rays of sunlight flooded his vision. Sounds of birds singing and leaves rustling against the soft breeze, the feeling of cottony grass against his skin, it almost felt like a dream.

He slowly lifted his head from the ground and shifted his hands next to his hips, pushing himself up. His head was throbbing and his vision was fuzzy.

"What the hell happened?" He mumbled, placing a hand on his forehead.

Nishinoya glanced at his surroundings noticing the landscape that covered the eye can see. The memories of his rebellion came flooding back. He must have blacked out. His soul must have not been able to handle the impact of heading down.

As Nishinoya collected his thoughts, a mellow smile spread across his cheeks. He made it. This is earth. He can finally get the taste of freedom he wanted. The angel stood up rather quickly, hopping to his feet and spreading his arms and large glistening raven wings to feel the breeze. However, as Nishinoya spread his wings, a sharp pain was sent throughout his vessel. He let out a loud, distressed hiss and lowered his wings.

"Shit. I must have landed on my wing pretty hard." Nishinoya stated, gritting his teeth.

The angel plopped back onto the ground, immediately regretting the action when the pain in his wing overwhelmed his body once again causing Nishinoya's breath to hitch and tears well up in his eyes. His head hung towards the ground, holding back his screams of agony. So much for enjoying my first taste of freedom.

"A-Are you okay?"

Nishinoya's head shot towards the voice. A boy came into focus. He was short but must have been only a few centimeters taller than Nishinoya. The boy's hair was a fluffy orange flowing softly in the breeze. His glinting bronze eyes stared at the angel with worry planted on his gentle face. Nishinoya could only stare, he was lost in the boy's appeasing beauty.

The boy's look only softened, "You don't have to be scared. I won't hurt you." His voice was heavenly and calming to Nishinoya.

Offering his hand, the boy gave the angel a caring smile. Nishinoya's gaze trailed to the boy's hand, slowly placing his hand in the others. The boy helped Nishinoya to his feet and made sure the angel's footing was steady. Nishinoya winced at the pain in his left wing.

"You're hurt?" He asked scanning the angel's body for injuries.

"N-No," Nishinoya choked, his cheeks softly flushing pink.

"But you look like you're in pain.." The boy looked at Nishinoya with concerned eyes, cocking his head slightly to the side.

Nishinoya's breath hitched. "I.. Just hurt my wing..."

The ginger smiled sweetly, "What's your name?"

"Uh.. Nishinoya..."

"Nishinoya.." The boy repeated softly causing a shudder to spread down Nishinoya's spine. "Well Nishinoya! My name is Shoyo Hinata!" He exclaimed jovally.

"Shoyo Hinata?" Nishinoya repeated.

"Mhm. You can call me Hinata, or Shoyo, or Sho, or really anything. I love nicknames." The ginger said, smiling sincerely. "Why don't you come to my house. I can take care of your wing."

Nishinoya nodded softly as the red head took him by the hand, leading him towards the town, asking questions and ranting on and on to the angel.

Shoyo Hinata.

Two words infecting the sin he has pledged.
