Chapter 31

The rain soaked me with it's a glorious gift. I look up to the sky.

I swallowed down hard and went to the battlefield. As I watch the catastrophe before me- my heart stammered even more if it's possible. I breathed heavily, while the sword dangled in my hands.

I look ahead of me to take a glimpse of Daniel.

He's not gonna make it!

I fasten my pace but got intervened when someone charges towards me on his horse. I yelled and quickly ducked before I get to split into two. I grimaced at how unfocused I am.

When I got closer, I felt my body tensed up to see that it's even more close to see him there- lying helplessly as he tried to fight back Henry.

I swallowed down the lump of my throat as I was about to cry but there is no time of crying right now. It's either nut up or shut up.

"Hey, Henry! You little piece of saggy old people's skin!" I called and teased him. He snapped his head on me, at first he thought who it was but when he realized that it's me- his scowl turned into a disgusting smirk.

I look at Daniel who looked at me with astonishment. "Y/n? How did- What are you doing here?!" He yelled and tried to stand up. I frowned at how helpless he is at this moment.

I'm saving you, dumb ass.

"Well, well, well, isn't it the Queen of the North. Good afternoon, your majesty." He mocked and laugh. I held my sword in front of me- getting ready for what to come.

"Go back to where you came from, or else I'll fucking kill you, Henry!" I yelled at him- I felt my body heating up as I got furious. Not to him but to myself.

I knew this would happen.

Seeing Daniel lying there like as if he's got nothing to live for anymore. I couldn't even look at him in the eyes- all I wanted to do was save him and walk away, that's it and let him know the truth. But, I also want to cover his eyes and ears to prevent him from knowing everything.

"This is what you want, right your majesty?!" Henry yelled, glaring at me and back at Daniel's fading figure.

I gulped down, Maybe this is the part he'll know the truth. "No, I don't want this- I was a fool back then to choose this kingdom!"

"But what's done is done, Y/n. You bravely chose this kingdom to be decimated and now you want to save it?!" He incredulously looks at me. "He deserves to die, that was your own words from your own mouth!"

He points his swords towards Daniel. I took a glimpse at him to see his eyes- Intelectual convincing me that I didn't have the mind of any of this destruction. I breathed out and look back at Henry's disappointing look. "Well, I take it back then! Abort this and don't ever come back to this kingdom, Final orders."

He harshly exhales, "Fine, then. I will abort your stupid orders."

I look at him in astonishment and thought that 'It was damn pretty easy.'

"But these are my orders now, I'll finish this." He declared.

My eyes widened in horror as he begins to charge towards me. Before I can get hit by his sharp sword I quickly leaned away- he stumbled and eyed me, his mouth opened in anger and run to me with his sword ready to stab me through my bones.

I firmly held my sword and thought about crossing roads with him, as I balanced my body and the sword- I breathed and prepared of what's coming. I raised my sword and clash it against his, Henry's eyes widened in surprise but that mockery of a grin he has accepted this challenge.
