The professor dismisses us and I tap Santana on her arm. She groans before finally opening her eyes, I smile sadly.
Me: I'm so sorry. Santana: Why? Me: My shenanigans kept you awake all night.
She shakes her head before rubbing her eyes, a tired yawn leaves her lips.
Santana: Don't worry about it Char. Me: But..-
She ruffles my hair before standing up.
Santana: You didn't choose the kink, the kink chose you.
I chuckle at her silliness before walking out the class with her. My mind drifts off to last night and I internally cringe at how I acted while Hongjoong was watching.
Oh God what if he knows?
What if he thinks I'm weird?
Santana: Stop. Me: Stop what? Santana: When you overthink you start tugging at your ears.
She slaps my hand away.
Santana: What're you thinking so hard about? Me: Hongjoong and I have a date Friday. Santana: He told me, are you excited? Me: I'm freaking terrified. Santana: You shouldn't be, Joong is a good guy.
I sure hope so.

Hongjoong is a very punctual person he showed up at nine o'clock exactly, he took me to this beautiful Thai restaurant. Everything on this menu looks delicious, I don't know what I should order.
I look over at him and he smiles at me.
Hongjoong: How was your day? Me: It was good, I got a passing grade on a test I was sure I was going to fail. Hongjoong: That's great!
I smile shyly before waving off his compliment.
Me: It's nothing. How was your day? Hongjoong: Stressful but I knew I'd be seeing you so it's okay now. Me: You're just saying that.
He shakes his head before sipping his water.
Hongjoong: I never just say things, everything I say is true. Me: So why'd you take me out tonight?
Easy Char, don't scare him off like you did the rest.
Hongjoong: You're pretty, kind and seem interesting so why not? Me: No hidden agendas? Hongjoong: Are you going to question everything I say tonight? Me: Possibly.
He chuckles.
Hongjoong: Don't worry so much, just have fun.
It's hard not to worry when my luck with guys haven't been the greatest. They say one thing then do another, it's very draining.
The rest of dinner consists of me drilling him with questions and him answering patiently.
Hongjoong: You've asked me a lot of questions so I suppose it's only right I ask you something. Me: Okay. Hongjoong: Are you a little?
My eyes widen.
Me: Um.. Hongjoong: To be brief, I know that you are so there's no sense in lying.
I avoid all eye contact.
Me: If you already know then what was the point of asking? Hongjoong: To see if you were comfortable enough with admitting it. Me: Who admits their kinks like that? Hongjoong: Where have you been this whole series?
Touché.
Me: I understand if you think it's weird or..- Hongjoong: I'm a caregiver, a daddy Char. Me: Y-you're what? Hongjoong: You heard me.
He pours me some more water as I stare at him in shock.
Me: You don't give me daddy vibes. Hongjoong: What do you want me to do? Lay you across the table and spank you?
I choke on my water, once my coughing calms down I fan my warm face.
Me: Don't say things like that!
He giggles before nodding.
Hongjoong: So adorable.

During his birthday party I didn't get the chance to look around Joong's house, now that it's clear I'm speechless. It's beautiful and nicely decorated.
Me: You live alone? Hongjoong: Yes, although sometimes my cousin will pop in and visit when he's in town. But Yuta is never really any trouble, he's quiet for the most part.
This place is bigger than my college.
Me: So you own the restaurant I work at? Hongjoong: My parents do yes, that one and many others. Me: Cina said Seonghwa was taking over his father's business. Are you doing that as well?
He shakes his head.
Hongjoong: I'm getting my degree in creative writing. Books have always been my first love. Me: Really? I love books as well. Hongjoong: I've noticed.
A smile spreads across my face as my nerves finally die down, I feel at ease.
