×-×-×-×

(....There's always a beginning and an end to everything....)

×-×-×-×

Jennie really loves the color black. She didn't know when her love for the color start, but ever since her mom would make her choose her clothes, her notebooks, her clips, etc.— she'd always choose the darkest one, black.

The color is associated with many things. Others represent black as power, some, fear– since it somehow represents mourning and death. Most of all, black represents a mystery. An endless void. An enigma. A color that is somehow not a color— and is more known for absorbing the colors surrounding it.

Jennie Kim greatly embodies the traits of the color black, so it's no wonder that black is her favorite color.

Now, Jennie really hates any bright colors– since it is a total opposite of her favorite one.

Specifically, the color yellow. She didn't know when her hate for that color began, but it may have somehow started when her mom made her wear a banana costume during their halloween party when she was still in 5th grade. Yes, a fucking banana costume. No one would have cared, but if you live in a society where graders act like high schoolers— then you're practically screwed from the endless teasing from your peers.

So, Jennie hates the color yellow. It's the brightest color in all the spectrum and it's associated with a lot of things. The color represents optimism or happiness, sometimes people represents it with kindness or creativity– a total ray of sunshine. Most of all, it represents both hope and loyalty. A color that deeply embodies it's own meaning.

Then we have Lisa.

Lisa really loves the color yellow.

Jennie doesn't know why the blonde loved that color (see, the girl even bleached her hair blonde, the heck?)— but Lisa is never always seen without that color.

Lisa, like Jennie— also embodies the traits of a color yellow. From her bright personality, unwavering positivity, honest attitude and fierce loyalty.

So it's no wonder Lisa's favorite color was yellow. The reason is quite simple.

It's because Lisa is yellow.

But Jennie hated bright colors— yellow more so than others.

Yet Lisa loves the color yellow.

Two personalities clashing with just a simple shade of something.

But...

Jennie remembers Lisa when she sees the color yellow.

Jennie remembers weird girl who was born in Thailand. The thin long legged girl Jisoo brought with her when the oldest Kim visited New Zealand. The same clumsy, deep accented girl that tripped on her own 'non-shoe laced rubber shoes', simply because she saw Jennie Kim for the first time.

And Lisa didn't change.

Lisa's still that dorky girl who trips just from thin air. The humble genius who is one of the most smartest people you'd meet, yet she still continues to deny that title. The kind hearted girl who would readily adopt any homeless animal (Jennie had to stop her multiple times when that happens, especially if it's a cat) because Lisa doesn't want the strays to feel unloved or lonely. The same girl who'd act all tough, but is an actual baby inside.
