I fell. I fell right at the edge of the cliff. Why? Why can't I just run and never stop until death? I quickly turned so I was on my back. Instead of my torturer, I was met with a new girl.
She was breathtaking. She had long, red hair that was pulled back to reveal a dragon tattoo on her neck. "Come with me, your highness," her voice was smooth like water, but wait did she just say your highness?
"What do you mean your highness?" I questioned, but was met with a confused look.
"You don't know?" the girl asked.
"What don't I know? I mean I'm abused daily, most of my family is dead, what else is there?" I need answers and now.
"Honey, you are one us. You are the next ruler of the supernatural race. You, my dear, may have been born a human, but your family is not. See, the woman you saw when you passed out was not your mother, but her twin sister. Your mother, believe it or not, is still alive. Of course, you know about your brother. He was born a vampire while you were born a human. You will find out the rest later," as she explained everything, my thoughts got more and more jumbled.
"Who are you?"
"Oh, my I forgot. I am your guide and my name is Brea. But, you will not be seeing me when you meet your guardian, Elizabeth," all I could think was how is this me?
