1. The One With The False Beta

It was 18 hours before the actual chaos began and his world would fall into pieces.

Jeon Jungkook was seventeen years old...... yet, because tomorrow was his birthday.
The day he would finally find out, what rank he belonged to.

Did he feel anxious about it?
Not at all, because it was clear, that he would present as a beta. His father was one as well as his grandfather and his great-grandfather.
Only his mother was an omega, but that wouldn't change the fact, that he would definitely show up as a beta tomorrow.

The boy with the dark hair left the dorm for the omegas with fast steps, because he was already late for school, as every day.
Not that he would care so much, the teachers pretty much knew, that he had a thing for oversleeping.
When he entered the hall with the classroom his gaze went up to the big white clock at the wall, telling him, that he could make it on time, only to bump into someone the very next second.

"Watch out, dickhead!", a familiar voice shouted next to Jungkook, which made him flinch.

It was none other than Kim Taehyung, One of the few alphas at school.
Dark brown hair and piercing black eyes.
Someone you'd expect to be pretty attractive, but it was his soul, that made him so damn unattractive.

Taehyung turned out to be an alpha almost a year ago.
Since then he had changed a lot.
From the boy with the boxy smile, that had been his best friend at some point to the arrogant and cold alpha, who despised every rank, that wasn't his.

Which makes Jungkook to someone, who's not worth to be called a friend anymore and he really missed that. Although, Betas were not as bad as omegas, the lowest rank, so at least the alpha treated him with a little more respect.

Still, Taehyung was an utter douchbag, that's why Jungkook answered him with a death stare.

"Can't you look for yourself?
Aren't alphas supposed to be the ones with the best senses? Use them instead of pissing me off."

Taehyung started growling and took a step in his direction, but before he could do anything the sound of the bell interrupted him.

Thank god, because Jungkook didn't want to know what Taehyung would have done to him.
So he took the chance and ran in the opposite direction to his classroom, where his best friend Jimin already waited for him.

"There you are! I already thought something happened to you"

Jungkook just rolled his eyes over his omega friend.

Since he was going to present as an beta tomorrow he shared a room with Jimin in the dorm for the omegas.
Only betas were allowed to choose the dorm, since they were no threat to any of the other ranks.

Even though Jungkook loved Jimin as if he was his brother the blonde boy could be a pain in the ass sometimes.
Especially when Jungkook wanted nothing more but sleep.
The feisty omega just wouldn't let him. Probably the only reason why he would come to the first class every morning.

Jungkook sighed, as they finally entered the classroom and sat on their places.

The day went by rather slowly, because the young boy was getting more and more nervous about the following day.

"You know, I'm really curious what your smell is gonna be like", Jimin said as they left the school and headed to their dorm.

"I mean, I know, that the smell of betas are rather plain, but still..."

"Nah, I'm more curious about the other scents! It's the first time my wolf senses are fully developed", Jungkook added excitedly, jumping up like a little kid, which made Jimin chuckle.

"I bet Yoongi doesn't smell that good as you always say", he added playfully and scrunched his nose.

"Hah! Believe what you want but I swear to the moon goddess, if you dare to touch him after you fell for his scent, I'll murder you with my bare hands", the short boy laughed and showed his fangs.

"Oh wow, now I'm scared. What a terrifying little omega."
You could easily spot the sarcsam in the boy's voice and Jimin knew that it was just a joke. Jungkook would never judge him for his rank....

.... Right?
