7. The one where it seems to settle down

The day after Jungkooks Birthday was a lot better.
Especially now that he had his friend constantly around him.
The certain omega helped him through his new daily routine, as they had to deal with alphas all around them.
There weren't exactly many omegas at their school, which made it harder for Jungkook to go through his first day of being in school and in his classes.
Due to his instinct to submit to every alpha, who only looked towards his direction he had a hard time to concentrate, but Jimin assured him, he'd get more comfortable over the time and ignore the presence of alphas around him.
Since his inner wolf was locked in his body for 18 years he understood why his new senses were so sensitive, but it surely pissed him off after a while.

"Jungkook-ah, stop being so moody.
It's just for a few weeks and then you can live almost like before.
Also, you can be glad, that it doesn't seem to affect you as much as other omegas", Jimin said smiling.

The three just had finished their last class, as his friend said that.
Jungkook only snorted annoyed.

"No, really!
You know, the first time I went to a place with many alphas after I had been presented I broke down in tears every time an alpha approached me, so you did pretty well."

"Yeah, cried like a little baby for his mother", Hoseok laughed, earning a slap by his friend.

"That's not true-"

"Mommy~", the beta impersonated, grabbing his own collar.
"I want my mommy"

"I really don't know why I'm friends with you", Jimin whined.

"Because I'm an angel and you could never live without me"
Hoseok gave Jungkook a wide smile, which cheered him up a little

"Hmpff.... Also there's nothing wrong to call after my mother.
I just really love her and she's always able to help me"
Jimin looked away as if he was embarrassed, but Hoseok didn't seem to care.

"Of course that's fine.... As long as you don't call Yoongi like that in bed?
Daddy would be more fitting."

Jungkook giggled, while Jimin's face became red.

"Guys, I don't want to interrupt your very interesting conversation, but I need to go to the toilets before we can head to the dorms.
Just give me a minute.", Jungkook excused himself
He didn't even expect an answer and just went to the next door showing the sign of the boys' toilets.

As he entered a familiar scent hit him followed by his knees practically giving up.
One hand on the wall next to him to secure his body from falling down he looked at the male standing in front of the row of sinks.
The alpha turned around only seconds after the omega had entered the room, eyes filled with a mixture of disgust and admiration.
That look alone made Jungkook shiver but he forces himself to stand as straight as possible.

How much he'd love to go near his mate and feel the warmth of his arms around him and his soft lips against his skin, but he knew that would never happen.

Furthermore he was supposed to hate the older boy.
He had brought him nothing but pain and always showed hatred towards him.
And now, that he was an omega, the situation grew worse.
Taehyung could never bring up the slightest affection for him and that was exactly what hurted so much.
Because deep down in his soul there was his manipulate wolf, craving for the elder's touch.

"Can you stop staring already? It's annoying as shit.", the alpha grumbled.

Normally Jungkook would have answered something feisty, but his body didn't let him.
With a dry mouth he looked at the floor and didn't dare to move.
He already waited for the rejection.
Minutes went by as they stood in front of each other, until Taehyung finally moved and took a few steps to his mate.
It was nothing he would have done without the bond, that connected them.

As they were only inches away from each other, Jungkook dared to look up, where he met the dark orbs of the latter staring right into his soul and he could swear, for a moment he felt the brief touch of his mate's hand against his.
But as soon as he realized it, Taehyung backed off with a frustrated groan and left the room.

"The hell....?"

No, he didn't get rejected, but it only left the omega in confusion and.... Anger.
No, he didn't want the alpha to reject him, but he had already accepted that it would happen.
So either Taehyung would get his shit together and reject him or he would accept him as a mate, nothing in between.

With that thought stuck in his mind Jungkook turned around and followed the other boy.

"Taehyung...!"
He could feel the anger rising up, which was the only reason, why he had the confidence to call out his mate's name in huge crowd.

The called alpha stopped and turned around, like a puppy getting called by his owner.

"Cut that shit! Stop messing around with me if you don't accept me as your mate!
Reject me already, so we both are over it."
That being said Jungkook waited for the few words and the shortly following pain, but it never came.

"I can't.
Don't you think I have tried?
It's not my fucking fault that you literally smell like heaven.", the alpha spit out.

Around them people had already stopped and watched what happened.

"Everytime I see you, my mind gives up and I can't even form a proper sentence, let alone reject you."

"Well,don't expect me saying it for you.
You'd rather choose the pain, so you have to do it."
Without further do Jungkook turned around and walked away.

Now that he had said what he wanted to say his confidence vanished in a matter of seconds, which made him pray to the moon goddess Taehyung wouldn't hold him back.
And really, without any more interruptions he met his friends, who stood at the edge of the crowd.
They looked concerned, especially Hoseok, because before he had no clue Taehyung was Jungkooks mate, but the two of then didn't say anything and just turned around to leave the big hallway.

Actually, they kept silent the whole walk to the dorms over, which didn't help with the Omega's nervousness.

"So.... You and Taehyung?", Hoseok finally broke the silence as they entered the dorm.
You could see they way Hoseoks Eyes had a hint os sadness in it, showing that he adored the little boy in more than just in a platonic way.
Jungkook wanted nothing more than returning the interest in something more, but as long as the bond to Taehyung still existed he could never even think about it.
So he just decided to ignore the short outbreak of emotion.

"It's complicated.."

"It's not, you both just have to get your shit together that's all.
I don't even know why you hate each other so much.
I can't see any reason.", Jimin rambled.

Of course he didn't, because Jungkook never dared to speak about his past with the mentioned alpha.
It was not the brightest sight of his childhood, considering the amount of time he had needed to get over Taehyung.

"Oh C'mon, just give it a shot and talk to him", Hoseok intervened, giving him a small smile.

"Won't happen.
I meant what I said, Taehyung wants to end this and I'm not trying otherwise.
It's his choice."
Jungkook had enough and remained silent after.
His friends seemed to understand, that there was no way to convince him otherwise, so they simply gave up.... For the moment.
