3. The One With The False Beta

"Yes, mom, everything's fine."
Jungkook held his phone next to his ear.

"Alright, I'm just happy my little beta already grew up. You have to tell me everything though!"

"Mooom...
Is that really necessary? It's nothing special. I just woke up and.... Well....came out as an... Beta, you know?
That's what we always expected...", he lied.

He didn't want to disappoint his parents for being an omega.
Not that they wouldn't love him anyway, but somehow Jungkook felt as if he had failed as their son.

"What are you talking about, son? The transformation is the most important part in a werwolf's life.
What does you scent smell like?"

"Ughh.. Nothing spectacular. Jimin said it smells a bit like Amber."

"Amber? Interesting.... I always thought that's more like a sweet scent."

"Really? Well maybe Jimin was wrong then.
I gotta go now, class starts in a bit.
Bye and love you!", the boy hurriedly said, before his mother could ask any more questions.

He hung up and went inside the big building.

He still thought of the lie he just had told.
Sooner or later his parents would find out the truth, but until then he could think of an explanation.
Named problem didn't really help with the bad headache he had since he arrived the campus due to the new sensations.

Lost in his thoughts he blinded out the new scents, coming from all the other students and walked to his locker until there was one certain smell coming towards him.
At first he just brushed it off with his new senses going crazy on everything, but then the scent got stronger.
Suddenly his knees started to shake and he feared to collapse in the very next moment.
The warm and exotic smell of musk hit him and took over his senses within seconds.

Mate

That was the first thought that came into his mind.
It was hard for the omega to concentrate, but in order to find his potential mate in the crowd he had to.

With big eyes he searched trough the crowd of people, until he found a familiar boy starring at him with piercing eyes

Kim Taehyung

Kim Taehyung went through the big halls, not bothering the huge crowd.
He was in a bad mood already, thanks to a certain omega, who came to their room late at night.
Omegas were annoying creatures, that were born to be dominated. But Yoongi never acted like that.
He treated Jimin as if they were on the same level.

Alphas were supposed to be the ones who rule everything and dominate everyone.
At least that's what his parent always told him

And they were right, that's why Taehyung kept a distance to all the omegas and even the betas.
When thinking about his future, he always knew, that he would marry an alpha one day.

Suddenly he smelled something sweet in the air. Something that was stronger than anything else.
Sweet Amber with a hint of salty water and wet sand.
He found it to be the most addictive smell in the world, so he followed this new scent.
For a moment his eyes turned red, when he realized where the smell came from.
In shook he stood there, looking at that boy, who seemed to feel the same as Taehyung.

"Sadly, he's one of my kind, otherwise you two would have made a good couple"

Jimin's words filled his head, as he stared at Jungkook
He never believed in fated mates, although Yoongi swore, something like that existed, but as he now looked at the new omega his inner wolf howled and he instantly knew, that he found his destined mate.

"No.....", Taehyung whispered to himself, not believing his eyes.

With a quick move he turned around and ran away. Though, he would lie if he said, that he didn't want to be near him, embrace him and smell the intoxicating smell.

He shook his head while running to ban those forbidden thoughts out of his head.
Never ever would he accept an omega as his mate.
Especially not Jungkook.
