And Roman's heart broke in two at that sentence.
V and Ezra seemed to smile, despite the tears falling from their faces.
Roman cleared his throat. "I'll help, of course," he said, "but I need you to tell me how you got here."
"We'll do you one better," Ezra said. "We'll show you." They took hold of Roman's arm, letting his vision fade.
•°flashback°•
Two kids ran around in the snow. One looked to be around 10, and the other was 14, maybe 15.
"Isn't this amazing?!" The younger yelled. "It's real snow!"
The older chuckled. They played for around 5 more minutes, then the sky became dark.
"We should go," The older said, "C'mon, mom's probably worried."
They walked to the house on the top of the hill, then walked inside, only to realize this wasn't their house.
The younger fell to the floor. The older screamed, before blacking out themself.
•°end flashback°•
Tears sat at the edge of Roman's eyes.
"That was, I think five years ago," Ezra said.
Roman felt a small tug on his sleeve. It was V. He took off a small golden bracelet, then wrapped it around Roman's arm.
"J-Just so you d-don't forget about us..." He whispered.
Roman shared a glance with Ezra. Both looked scared for V.
"I won't V."
"Virgil."
Roman gasped. Ezra stared proudly at their brother.
"My name is Virgil."
(Yo! So, we actually have conformation on who the second puppet is. Wow, look at me go, not ending on a cliffhanger and putting out a chapter while being sick as heck. Ttyl!
