Karumi's P.O.V
I awaken to the feeling of cold air yet something very warm as well, soft even.
My eyes flutter open and I immediately shut them again due to the brightness. I open them again and roll over. Whatever warmth before had hold if me had now disappeared yet the sun was so warm I barely took notice of this. My breaths formed clouds in the frigid air.
It smells like flowers... and lemon grass.
So it wasn't a dream... I look over at the short cenataur on the floor pulling the fluffy warm object toward me. I grab it aiming to pill it closer but I feel it. Not my hand. Oh gee, how did I not notice before?
I have tails... wings... and some form of dog ears. And it's so fluffy~
Normally I think I'd cry out in fear. But after yesterday, I think it's going to take more than that to phase me... I'm truly confused but I'm trying to just push all of this to the side. This is only temporary...
Maybe it can help me somehow. Though I don't think I can move any of it, so can this even help me? Perhaps...
... should I try?
I get off of the narrow brown cot. My back is sore from sleeping the way I did. And what I'd guess is my wings feel sore. Almost like when you sit down for too long and your legs feel weird, like you need to stretch them.
I tense up my back, nothing seems to happen. So I try to think more about the odd feeling of tenderness on my back... attempting to move my wings.
They spread out the feathers are pure white and fluffy, my wingspan is what I'd guess is about a meter and a half. Wow, They feel free. The strange feeling is gone now. I wonder if I can fly. I attempt to push them up and down but it's a little hard to control.
I lift about an inch off the ground before relaxing my wings. They fold inward making a few feathers glide to the ground slowly in almost a peaceful manner.
Then the cenataurian girl wakes up. "Good morning" I chirp. "Morning, get some new clothes we've got a journey ahead of us" she says, lifting herself up to stretch her legs
Time skip brought to you by the 6 hostages in my basement~
We left at what I assumed was about 11:30 we walked through the grey-blue forest. Eventually the grass began to transition to a soft green.
There are large tan bags full of anything we could fit in there like blankets, clothes, weapons, and mana restoring foods. They were heavy but not too heavy... I don't know what it is but this place made me feel a lot stronger than normal.
Siho led the way, lifting her feet carefully above the grass so she wouldn't leave a trail for anyone to find. The trees began to turn an oak color palette. And then they started to appear less. The sound of crickets and the occasional rustling of the trees and tall grass on the account of wind.
We turned so many times I don't even know what direction we're going. East maybe, do they even use that kind of direction marking? Do they use metric? How curious...
I look around and now their just seems to be tall grass. Almost half my size, and I'm 5,10. Poor Siho she's practically drowning in the grass. She's now hopping to avoid leaving a trail, as she was too short to lift her feet that high.
I'm starting to wonder how old she even is... considering her attitude I'd say around 17, but her height talks a whole different language.
Suddenly the left horizon begins to change. Almost dip inward. Siho's smile Seemed to widen as she starts to head towards the left galloping in front of me as she stared at the horizon admirably.
