-The next morning-

Rob's POV

"Let's go." I whispered behind me. Me and Abi were finally making our big escape away from the castle.

"Coming." Abi whisper-yelled from behind me. I slide open the window as quietly as I could and slipped out onto the roof. Abi following close behind.

Once I was off the roof and over the wall I looked back up to see a whimpering Abi clinging to a chimney looking thing. "Abi, come on it's fine. Just be careful." I yelled back up at her. She took a few steps before slipping and tumbling the rest of the way down, clearing the wall by miles and landing on some conveniently placed bales of hay. 'Where does all this hay even come from?' I thought to myself as I helped Abi off the hay.

Pulling my hood over my head I began to walk further into town. I turned around a few seconds later to find that Abi hadn't been following me. I retraced my steps and found her back where the hay was staring at something on the wall.

"What are you looking at?" I asked her strictly.

"Calm down Robbie, it's just this bug thingy I found." I hated it when she called me 'Robbie.' She's been doing it since we were kids.

"Come on!" I snapped as I pulled her hood over her eyes and began to walk back into town making sure her was following me this time.

I took Abi down all the alleyways that Eyelyn had taken me down and eventually found the door to their makeshift apartment.

Knocking on the door a few times I glanced over to see Abi with an extremely worried look on her face.

"Rob, I don't know about this." She confessed. But her confession was to late the door was already wide open and Eyelyn stood in the door way, bottle of water in hand.

"Come on in guys!" She yelled excitedly. We both walked inside. Abi sent me a few uneasy glances before speaking up.

"It's 5 in the morning, why are you even up at this time?" Abi asked sassily. Narrowing her eyes at Eyelyn.

"Oh, I heard the door." Eyelyn replied rubbing the nape of her neck awkwardly. "Let me show you to your rooms." Eyelyn spoke swiftly changing the subject and walking away from the front door, me and Abi followed her quickly. I could tell the Abi didn't trust her.

"This is your room." She gestured with one hand and pulled the curtain back with the other. "Sorry you have to share, we don't have a lot of space."

Me and Abi both walked into the room and Eyelyn left us to get unpacked. "Which bed do you want?" I asked Abi but I got no reply. I turned to her and she was just standing there with a blank look on her face "Abi?"

"Oh, yeah, sorry, I don't mind." She fake smiled.

"I'll take this one." I said walked over to one of the beds and plopping my backpack down on it. Abi still didn't move. "Abi, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." I glared at her a little when she spoke but I ended up just going back to unpacking. "Ok, I just don't know if I trust her. She seems shifty. Ya know?"

"Yeah, yeah, I do know." Someone said from the doorway. We both turned to see Eyelyn standing in the doorway. "I was just coming to tell you that Mitch's up." And with that she turned and exited.

Abi turned back to me and let out a loud "UGH" before flopping down on her bed.

The rest of the day was a little bit awkward because Abi had offended Eyelyn.

~Time skip to midnight~

"Welp, I'm going to bed." Mitch said, giving a great big yawn before standing up and stretching.

"Me too." I added getting up as well.

"K, night boys." Eyelyn waved at us before picking up her phone.

"Aren't you going to bed Eyelyn?" Abi asked standing up of the couch and looking at Eyelyn oddly. It kinda looked like Eyelyn started to have a panic attack. Mitch swiftly grabbed my arm and Abi's arm with his other hand and pulled us into the kitchen.

"What the heck bro?!" Abi yelled at Mitch quietly.

"Look, Eyelyn has insomnia so she only sleeps one day a week." Mitch told us.

"Oh, so how does she go to sleep on that one day?" I asked. Abi just looked more guilty from saying she was shifty.

"She uses needles full of anesthetic." My mouth dropped to the floor as Mitch kept speaking. "It's the only thing that is strong enough to put her to sleep." Mitch finished up and said one last thing before walking out of the kitchen. "Welp, night."

I spied into the living room and saw Mitch pat Eyelyn's shoulder before walking into a curtained off room.

I turned to Abi who looked super guilty and said "I'm going to bed, you coming?"

She looked deep in thought for a second before answering with...........
