It ain't all rainbows and happy

Nathan's P.o.V

Running.  Running as fast as I can.  My heart is pounding. Pushing through bushes, trees, and thorns.  My legs has blood rushing down.  I started to cry.  It wasn't because of the pain from the thorns.  I left her.  I left her there alone.  Alone to die.  The unbearable pain of regret.  I wanted to run back and get her.  I wouldn't.  I couldn't.  She would be dead by now.  I've lost her.  I've lost my everything.  I trip over a rock while running and fall.  I hear running behind me.  He's there.  He's killed her.  Ari was gone.  There was nothing left for me, except pain, regret, and guilt.  

"Well well, look who we have here.  A 13 year old boy who didn't even protect his girlfriend.  Some boyfriend you are," Flynn laughed.

"Let's just get this over with," I mutter.

"As you wish," he replies.

I can feel that he's smiling.  Smiling because he destroyed 2 peoples lives at once.  I felt heat on my back.  Then there was darkness.  I don't hear or see anything.  Theres just nothing.  Nothing.....

Ari's P.o.V

"Just trust me ok?" Nathan tells me.

"I'll always trust you," I reply.

"Where are you!?!" Flynn shouts laughing evilly.

My heart pounds with fear.  We were trapped in a small whole in the wall.  He had passed us twice.  Nathan holding me to protect me.

"shhhhh," Nathan hushes.

My breathing gets heavier.  The footsteps stop.  I remain silent.  There was a blast of black light.  Nathan and I jump out of the whole in the wall as it crumbles.  I rub my head because a stone fell on it.  I look around and see Nathan running away.  Flynn is in front of me.

"NATHAN!" I cry, "I TRUSTED YOU!  NATHAN HELP!"

Tears role down my face.  I trusted him.  He left me just like that.  He abandoned me.

"It's over," Flynn smirked.

I push myself back and hit a wall.  I was cornered.  I looked around frantically.  There was no way I could get out of this.

"Leave her alone!" Alex shouted throwing a stone at Flynn's head, "BULLSEYE!"

"Ugh!" Flynn went into a rage, attacking Alex.

She had what it took to get him down.  The real question was, could she keep him down?

"Stop fooling!" I shout.

I hated this girl to the bottom of my heart.  If I even had one.

"Maybe lighten up and relax!" she shouts back at me hitting Flynn again.

"Come on Ari, your fine!" Leo says kicking Flynn.

"It's Arianna!  And your both idiots!" I shout.

I run up to Flynn and was about to hit him.  He saw me and vanished.  My air attack wasn't helpful in that moment.  I quickly rolled on the ground and landed on my feet.  I was born to do this kind of stuff.  It wasn't hard.  I was a fast learner.  I took a deep breath.

"You aren't that bad at this," Alex says grinning.

"Your ain't to bad yourself.  For a human at least," I say doing a hair flip.

Alex was the alpha's daughter.  She was cocky, weird, foolish, and childish.  She was nowhere NEAR ready to become alpha.

"Thanks?" she says confused.

"Wait.  Arianna?  Give Alex a complement?!" Leo exclaimed shocked.

"You got a problem with that?" Alex asked guarding me with her arm.

"Huh?" I said confused.

"I mean it's Arianna," Leo says glaring at me.

"What's your point?  Anyone can change," she said defensively.

I placed a hand on her shoulder, "thanks," I smile.

"Frienemies?" Alex asks shrugging.

"Sure.  Truse?" I ask.

"Fair," she says.

We smirk at each other.  I could tell from that point on that there wasn't going to be any enemy out of each other.  Only friend.  It was nice to have a friend that actually CARED about me.
