Lies

Lucy's P.o.V

"I'm sorry, I think you've got the wrong house," I say worried, "I've lived on the farm my whole life."

"Look at yourself," the woman says, "your a werewolf like us.  You look like us."

"Honey who is it?" my dad calls.

"Dad come here!" I shout.

My father runs in, "yes Luc-" he stops.

"You!" the woman shouts, "you stole my daughter from me!  You stole everything from us!  Everything!"

"Dad....?" I ask looking at him worried and confused, "what's going on....?"

"I'm sorry, you should be on your way," Dad states.

"You took my daughter!" she cries in anger.

"Please.....Leave!" my father shouts.

"Dad....is this true.....?" I ask.

"Of course not!" my father exclaims, "do you not trust me?"

"I don't know.  Should I?" I ask.

"Yes you should!  I'm your father!" he shouts.

"Or are you?" I ask.

"H-honey....of course I am," he stammers.

"Are you?  Are you really?" I ask.

I step back behind the 2 people.  I stare my "dad" down.  He lied to me.  He lied for my entire life.

"Who are you!?" I ask, "Who are you really!?"

"Come on Leo, let's get her out of here," the woman says.

She grabs my hand and pulls me away from the farm.  My entire life was a lie.  My entire family was a lie.  

"Hang on," I say.

"What?" the woman says.

"Daisy!" I exclaim.

She comes running.  I run over to the stables and saddle up my horse.  I grab the satchel and put it on her back.  I get on her back and hit the rains.

"Come'on girl," I say.

Penelope goes into a fast canter.  We go off.  Daisy follows us.

"Faster girl!" I shout.

"Hey wait!" the women shouts.

I don't listen.  I keep going.  I go for what seems like 10 minutes.  I must be at least 3 miles from the farm.  There was a store about 1/2 a mile from here.

"Can we keep going?" I ask Daisy.

She look so tired.  I jump down and pick her up.  I jump back on Penelope and we go on in a trot.  We finally reach the store and I hop off Penelope.  I run into the store.  I grab a bag of dog treats, some bread, and a bottle of water.  I had the cashier my credit card.  I take the stuff and put it in the bag that I put on Penelope.  I pick Daisy up again and we head off again.  I stop at the edge of the forest.  I hesitate at first, but I had nowhere else to go.  I go on but in a walking speed.  We go on for what seems like an hour.  I grab a dog treat and give in to Daisy.  I have Penelope stop and I stand on her back.  I reach up and get a hold of an apple.  I pull it off the tree and give it to her.  I decided to save the bread in case I start to starve.  I didn't want to eat it all so fast.  We continue for a little while longer.  I come to a cave entrance.

"Werewolves," I say.

"Why are you here?" a voice asks, "what business do you have here?"

I turn to face the person.  It was a girl.  She looked about my age.

"May!" a boy's voice shouts coming from the cave," Mom said not to leave the cave!"

"Don't give the stranger our names!" the girls exclaims, "why are you here!?"

"Hi!  I'm Lucky!" the boy says smiling.

"Lucky!" she warns.

"I'm not here to do anything.  I'm just passing by to get to the other side of the forest," I say.

"Lucky!  May get your butts back in he-" a woman comes out of the cave, "oh my gosh!" the woman exclaims, "Alex!  Leo!  Get out here!"

The woman and man from before appeared from the cave, "Lucy...." the woman from before says.

"How do you know my name.....?" I ask.

"Because we're your real parents," the man says.

"Mom...?  Dad...?" I say.

Tears start to rush down my checks.  I jump off Penelope and run over and hug them.

"Oh we've missed you!" my father says.

I look up at my parents.  My REAL parents.

"What now?" I ask.

"We become a family again," my father says smiling.

"Oh yes please...!" mom says crying and smiling.

"I'm right here mom.  I'm here.  I'm fine.  I'm well.  I'm alive....." I say reassuring her.

She never wanted to let me go.  Never again. Never again......Lucy........
