✰ Chapter Three ✰

"Come on Kay get dressed we gotta go" Eddie says waking me up.

I rub my eyes and get out of bed.

I head to the bathroom and brush my hair and teeth and obviously the rest of the hygiene stuff.

I then went into my room and got dressed.

I then ran downstairs and grabbed a piece of toast and went outside to see Eddie already on his bike ready to go.

I got on mine and we started towards the quarry.

Once we got there we set down our bikes next to the rest.

The boys started fighting over who was gonna go first.

"I'll just go" I say jumping.

Once I hit the cold water I heard Richie from up above.

"What the fuck" I heard him yell and I laughed.

I then felt another splash, it was Beverly.

I smiled at her as the others started jumping in.

Once everyone was in we decided to chicken fight.

Eddie was on Richies shoulders, I was on Stanley's shoulders and Beverly was on Bens shoulders. Bill decided to ref and watch

I pushed Eddie off right away and started laughing.

"Alright n-n-now it's against K-K-Kay and Stan and Beverly and Ben" bill said smiling

I got close to pushing her off but she was much bigger and stronger then me and I fell backwards off of Stanley.

Once that was finished we all kinda drifted apart swimming around.

I was fixing my hair when bill came and swam over to me.

"Hi bill" I said a little embarrassed because my hair probably looked a mess.

It's like he read my mind
"Your hair looks p-p-perfect" he smiled, rose color rushing onto his cheeks.

"Thank you" I smiled looking down.

"You m-m-missed" he said.

"Hm what?" I asked.

"I m-meant to say t-that yesterday in t-the s-s-store" he was even more red now.

I thought back to yesterday when I kissed his cheek.

I smiled at him placing my hand on his cheek.

"Ya I think I did miss" I mumbled leaning in.

"What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck" Eddie said in a panic mode just before I could kiss bill.

"Eddie are you serious?!" I said yelling at him.

"There's no way I'm letting my twin sister and one of my best friends get together, Nope it's not happening!" He said lifting up his arms.

I looked and saw the whole losers club starring at us.

I giggled and so did bill.

"What the fuck! This isn't funny!" Eddie said trying to seem intimidating and angry.

"Ya it kind of is" Richie said.

"Shut up trash mouth" Eddie said.

We then all swam over to shore where things got really awkward because no one was even really saying anything.

Then bens backpack spilled out a little luckily he grabbed everything except for a piece of paper Richie grabbed.

"News flash Ben, schools out for summer!" Richie said pretending to hold a microphone and giving an accent.

I laughed but no one else did so it was kind of awkward.

Ben said something about missing children and how he studied it at the library

"You went to the library on purpose?" Richie asked laughing.

"W-what a-a-about missing children?" Bill asks

"Derry isn't like other towns, people go missing here ten times the national average" Ben says.

We all look at each other.

"I have more at my house if you guys wanna come over" he says.

We all nodded in agreement to going over to bens house though I wasn't even really in the mood anymore.

We all got up and put on our cloths.

I got on my bike and started following the rest of the losers to bens house.

Once we arrived we walked into his room.

Posters, books, maps and photos were hung up all over the room.

"This looks like a history textbook threw up" Richie says adjusting his glasses.

"Shut up Richie, just shut up!" Eddie says, I giggled a little.

I read some of the stuff on the walls, it was really true I guess lots of kids do go missing in Derry.

I was getting uncomfortable looking at pictures of everything.

I then came across one of a circus.

I looked and saw what looked exactly like the clown starring from the photo.

I felt uneasy.

"I'm not feeling so great I think I'm gonna head home" I said feeling overwhelmed.

"Kay, are you okay?" Stanley asked grabbing my shoulder.

"Ya. Ya I'm fine. I'm just gonna head home" I said.

"I can t-take—" bill tries to say but I cut him off.

"I'm fine" I say trying to leave the room.

"See bill!! Look at what you did to my sister" Eddie says.

I left getting on my bike and attempting to peddle as fast as I could to my house.

Once I arrived home I felt fine again.

I put my bike infront of the garage and got my house keys out.

I was attempting to open the door when I saw a red ballon fly past and go down the sewer. I knew IT had to be nearby and I was scared.

I knew I should've told my friends but I didn't want them to think I'm completely crazy and loosing my mind.

Once I got my house door open I quickly locked it and felt safer.

I walked up to my room and got in more of a comfortable outfit.

I then grabbed my book and laid down, though I couldn't focus on the reading all I could think about was Bill.
