Chapter 20

Long boi ahead

After that incident I had a little change of heart I guess . I didn't go to parties,didn't do drugs or alcohol. I remembered Violets surprised face when she found me sober on the couch,not passed out. This went on for a long time.

It did make me reflect on my decisions and help me but it also made me isolate myself from the ones that cared about me. Now I apparently have a whole ass family I didn't even know about before and everything is absurd now.

Violet hid this from me. She knew everything that's going to happen,my adoptive parents too. A strong wave of guilt washed over me. It's all because if me.

Why can't life be as simple as it is in movies? Most of them have a happy ending. Maybe my life is one of those movies that have a bad ending,or maybe no ending at all.

"Sulking won't get you anywhere in life,sister." A familiar voice spoke up from behind me.

"Creeping up on people won't either,Hazel." I replied sarcasticaly.

"Ha ha funny. Also,dad wants us to return home." Irritation could be heard in her voice.

"When exactly?" Anxiety was building up in me as I prayed Hazel would say 'next month' or even 'next year'.

"The day after tomorrow." She replied bitterly,not liking the idea of going back either.

The night was spent looking at the dark ceiling,waiting for the sunrise. When it was finally morning,Hazel came in with a tray of food,not saying anything.

I knew that if I asked her what father did to her in order for her to be so mad at him,she would 100% flip.

"Won't you eat?" I broke the silence and she moved her gaze from the forest to me.

"I don't really have the apetite right now. You should go ahead and eat though." She said it almost in a whisper and her tone was flat. "I'll go and sit outside for a bit,you can join if you want." And so I did that.

We sat outside on the grass in silence for a while until I asked her "Where are we going exactly?"

"Hell." She answered,not shifting her gaze from the early mornibg blue sky "Through a portal."

"Why do you hate father so much?" I asked softly.

"Because he's a monster and he has to pay for what he has done." Hazel answered through gritted teeth.

After a few moment of silence,a loud snap could be heard from the forest. We abruptly stood up looking for the source of the sound. Hazel noticing them first, there were 5 huge wolves running at us with full speed and  teeth beared.

"Oh for fucks sake you gotta be kidding me WHY IS EVERYONE LITERALLY OUT TO RUIN MY DAY JUST LEAVE ME ALONE GOD DAMNIT ALL!" Hazel yelled annoyed charging ahead knocking one of the werewolves down.

I remain frozen for a few seconds from Hazels outburst springing into action as I heard 3 wolves charging at me. I summon my wings picking one of the wolves up flying up above the clouds tossing it over a cliff "that's what you get for intrurupting our conversion asshole!"

As I'm flying down to take care of the other 2 I notice them running twords the smaller cottages ready to take out anyone they can get their claws on. I saw Hazel already running after them, she looks up and I signal to take one down until i catch up with the other one running ahead of the wolf Hazel is going to take care of.

I swoop him up and slam him into a tree as I land. He let's out a lout grunt mixed with a growl as he tries to push me away. I slam his head against the tree hard knocking him out cold before picking him up and flying over to where Hazel is draging the bodies of the 4 wolves dead in a pile.

"is that one dead" she asked me pointing to the wolf on my shoulder.
I shake my head no "I knocked him out, I thought it would be a good idea mabye we can get some information out of him" I reply
"Good idea, I'm going to go chain it up in the basement meet me in the living room after you're done cleaning up the bodies, goodbye" Hazel said winking at me flying away wings spread wide
"How am I supposed to do that!" I yell after her having no idea what I'm supposed to do now.
"figure it out!" She yelled back

I decided to throw the over the cliff where I threw the other wolf hoping that I'm not going to be in trouble if someone accidentally finds the bodies. When I got home Hazel was already chilling on the couch watching Netflix eating pizza and popcorn, ok weird combination.

"Sup" I greet her throwing myself on the couch next to her. "what did you do with the bodies" she asked not looking away from the screen. "I threw them over a cliff" I shrug
"The wolf?" I ask

"Still passed out and chained up"
"good" I say pleased with the answer.

A few hours passed and we were abruptly awoken from our midday nap by a loud bang from the basement of the house. We rushed downstairs and saw that the chains were broken on the ground and skratches all over the walls. The wolf was gone.

"That son of a bitch escaped!"

editor note: i'm terribly sorry if there's any spelling mistakes. i just cut my long ass nails and now i have short lesbian top nails thus i may make mistakes while pressing keys on the keyboard rip - -yamazaki
