A New Begining

I smiled at Teddy, as he played with my hair. It had grown past my knees after so long. My mothers cloths were not very comfortable so I had decided to wear my fathers black sweat pants along with one of his button ups with a black undershirt and my mothers one good pair of black flats.
My hair was braided with a rubber band holding the bottom, some of my long bangs falling over my shoulder.
I had very heightened senses and a keen sense of self. Teddy taught me how to read and write. I was so grateful for that.
It was a normal day. As always I sat here drawing, I had extended my drawings to the wall next to my cot. Some of them were just doodles and others were dreams I would have. From big colorful clashes to the deaths of people I had no knowledge of. Most of these deaths were killed the same way my aunt was, with a bright green light.
One of a boy, he had a scar on his forehead and emerald eyes. Another of an old man with a long beard and half-moon spectacles.

I then stretched and trudged up the stairs to check how far the sun had lowered. I Peeked through the hole. The sun had lowered almost fully, leaving an orangy glow on the wall in the hallway. I was about to back up when a movment from the door caught my eye. It opened.
A tall figure walked in, kicking dirt off their shoes before stepping inside only to pause and stare into the house. I couldn't move, I couldnt tell who it was. I was sure it was male just by the stature of his shoulders.
He slowly walked around the house, his footsteps periodic as he approached the hallway. And then turned to face the door. He was so close to it and so tall that I couldn't see his face. So I put my ear to the hole instead. I strained to hear anything until a pattern of knocks came to the door.

Tap, tap, tap

Tap,tap

Tap

I felt hot tears run down my face as I repeated it back to him. And I swear I heard a low "Oh my god."
I looked through the hole again to see him trying to kick the door down. The more he kicked the angrier he got as the door wouldnt budge. He stopped for a moment to think, in this time I grabbed a pincel and a paper, I sniffed as I realized it was the paper he wrote his name on. Slowly I wrote a question Mark after it and slid it under the door.
I looked through to the other side. He had it in his hands. He walked away from the door and stood in the middle of the hallway and then all of a sudden, vanished. I opened my mouth in shock. I had never seen anything like that before. Then After a few minutes he came walking through the door again with another person trailing behind him.
The other person stood infront of the door looking it over. And then after a couple minutes he picked up his hands and pushed on the door as if trying to move it but stayed that way, Muttering under his breath, and then the ground began to shake as air was being released from the door. I became frightened, as I quickly ran from the door and down the stairs to the side of my cot holding the railing, the rukas caused the light bulb to shatter completely and everything went dark.

Both of them came walking down the stairs with bright lights coming from the ends of their wands. They looked around and spotted me, their movements came to a stop. "Avianna?" A deep velvet voice spoke. It gave me chills. To hear somones voice so loud and clear. I peaked out from where I sat curled up. They both looked at each other before the older guy looked up with his wand examining my drawings. Only then did I notice that it was the old man from my dream. He then smiled at me with the kindest smile I'd seen in my life. I looked over to the other, I teared up as I realized that I was looking at Severus. He was older but still looked only a year older then me.
All of a sudden Teddy jumped into my arms and whispered in my ear, the men in front of me seemed very shocked at the moving Teddy bear.
"Avi these are good men. They broke down the door," He turned around and looked at the men, "You must excuse her gentleman, she can not speak, but her hearing is exceptional almost magically so." The old man stepped forward and held out his hand, "Please, do not be scarred," I swallowed the lump in my throught and grabbed his hand, lifting myself off the ground, I held teddy tightly to my body as they lead me up the stairs. I looked around the house at the rotting wood. So much time has past. The house was already curoding. It was already dark outside as we walked outside. I looked up at the sky, and took a deep breath, my body shivering at the feeling of fresh air touching my skin. We made it to another house farther in town. We walked in and Severus locked the door behind us. The old man sat me on one of the couches in the living room. I looked at him as I thought at him. "Who are you?" He looked at me then and smiled, "my name is Albus Dumbledore, but Albus is fine, how is it that you got stuck down there again?" I thought at him again. "My aunt's husband locked me down there. After he killed her." His features grew serious at the mention of someone being murdered. I looked around the house and spotted Severus doing something in the kitchen.  I observed him for a while, Albus followed my eyes and then smiled, "Well it is confirmed that you are of witch decent, have you any magical abilities?" I nodded as I put Teddy on the floor, he knew what to do as he put his little arms in the air and waited. I put my hand up as I transformed him into a cat. He walked with his tail up and sat on Albus's lap. He smiled,  "I'm impressed my child. Not many can do wandless magic," I looked shocked. I thought it was normal. I then turned Teddy back into a bear and I grabbed him from Albus.
"So Avianna, how would you like to visit Hogwarts?" I smiled then, remebering that my mother graduated from there but I had no idea what she looked like, but I'm going to take a guess that she looked like my aunt because my grandmother would say they looked almost like twins.
I nodded his way in agreement, he grinned happily as he turned to Severus. He was already walking t'word us with two coffee cups in hand.
He looked sad, but troubled, his eyes showed me that he feels out of place. I kept my eyes on him, as he turned around, handing us our drinks and settling down in an arm chair next to Albus.
Teddy slid off my lap and trudged over to Severus's chair and climbed up, claiming a spot on his knee. I shot my hand over my face to cover my silent laugh. And then smiled at Teddy, waving him to me. I didn't want to evade his bubble, he seemed easily disturbed.
Like even a side glance would anger him. But to my surprise he shook his head lightly, "Oh it's alright, he's not harming anyone." I nodded as I stuck my tounge out at Teddy, him returning the gesture.
Albus finished his tea then. "I'll be back Severus. I have some things I must prepare for at the school." Severus just nodded shortly as he sipped his tea. Albus skipped lightly through the door, leaving me and Severus alone.
