(y/n) smiled as she clutched her small list on the card stock paper. she recently made a bucket list of things to do whenever she visited joshua on the set.
joshua was supposed to meet her outside the school to take her around and then the trailers in the back. the driver came to a stop and left her as he drove away. she saw her boyfriend wildly waving and scurrying to her body.
"hey you made it to the east high - high school!" he shouted and kissed her sweetly. "i'm very excited right now. thank you for agreeing to have me here and be with me as i check the list off." (y/n) spoke as she dug her phone out of her small purse.
snapping a few photos and handing her list to joshua, she let him go over it. "first one up is to take a picture in front of the school. your phone m'lady." he asked holding out his hand. she moved up and smiled doing a cute pose. joshua snapped quite a bit and showed her.
"first item, done! let's head inside and see what else we can do as we pass." josh said pulling her body closer to his and making the way towards the doors. "actually the pink lockers are down this main hallway, let's head there." he told his girlfriend excitedly pulling her with him.
(y/n) just looked around in amazement and at all the decorations covering the walls. "this place is big. on the movies and show it only gets about half of it. wow." she told him as they stopped. turning to her right the two vibrant pink lockers were ajar.
"i begged them to open this. i'm responsible for anything that gets broken or stolen." joshua said as his girlfriend reached out and opened it a bit. inside we're old photos of the cast and still all of sharpay's belongings.
"they really kept this all inside?" (y/n) asked amazed at how everything was so perfect after years. "it's a memory. and these lockers are iconic. they had to stay. picture, babe?" joshua asked already grabbing her phone.
joshua smiled at how cute his girlfriend was without even trying. "pink lockers, check. what about the cafeteria? that's first floor right?" (y/n) asked looking down the hallways they passed and snapping photos every once in a while.
after joshua took pictures of (y/n) at the balcony of the cafeteria and standing on a table, they found their way to the second level. which consisted of the huge hallway walking space. she didn't necessarily want a picture, more so a video.
"whenever you're ready (n/n)." joshua told her as he hit the record button. she ran from one end of the hallway to the other sticking her tongue out and stopping in the middle of the balcony. "and dip like gabriella as she sings 'when there was me and you'! give me face! drama! mwah! love it!" (y/n) yelled and laughed as joshua couldn't help himself either.
"sending myself this video so i never lose it. that's two more off the list!" joshua happily said when they approached the theater room. "not to fangirl, but stepping inside this room will probably result in me passing out. so many famous people have been in here. so have you, like how do you function?" (y/n) hurriedly asked looking in every direction.
joshua grabbed her purse and list as she observed everything in front of her. doing these type of things was what made him the happiest. "mind taking a picture with me center stage?" (y/n) asked setting her phone up with a timer. joshua ran to her and slightly lifted her off the ground just as the camera went off.
"this is so insane. i'm never going to shut up about this." she said shaking her head and looked around the stage again. see the theater, check.
"come on babe, gym is this way out. maybe we can find a basketball for you." they trailed out the main doors of the theater to the athletic department side. there were cases filled to the top of trophies and awards dedicated to east high.
there was a section that had the movies' trophies and phots all decorated in it. the team had a photo with signatures on it. (y/n) videoed and took pictures of the case. they never will show these things on the new series.
a short walk more and they were in the gym, it was polished nicely for the sake of the show during that time. joshua disappeared behind a set of bleachers as (y/n), once again took pictures and read all the championship banners hanging around.
"so there's no basketballs, i'm sorry babe. maybe some other time?" joshua said sadly, wanting to perfectly check her list off. "it's no problem, i suck at basketball. it would've done more damage than been an experience. but it's a check. only one more.." she trailed.
they had been there for some time now and she really hoped everything would be perfect for this last one. "ah, the rooftop bullet point. shall we take a walk up some stairs?" joshua asked, offering his hand and leading her away.
many flights of stairs later, joshua propped the door open on the kick stand available. (y/n) felt like she was in the movie by now. the roof top held such a beautiful view of salt lake city that it was breathtaking. and to make it more lovely, it was lightly drizzling and cloudy.
joshua hooked up his phone to his portable speaker he always had and played 'can i have this dance'. (y/n) wasn't expecting this treatment and felt herself smile wider. "you're so cheesy!" she laughed as he only pulled her to his chest.
"i promised this bucket list would be checked all off. this was one thing you really wanted. now dance with me." he hummed and playfully spun her. joshua started to softly sing troy's part of the song and humming gabriella's.
ironically, the rain became harder. it was slightly blocked off from the sheltered top but still came right through. (y/n) squeezed joshua's hands as he turned her and pulled her in. slowly the song ended and they were left together in the rain.
"i hope you're satisfied with your bucket list completion." he whispered. "more than satisfied." (y/n) responded, putting her head against his chest as the rain fell above them.
rooftop dance, check.
