"You have tears on your eyes and your nose is bleeding." Seonghwa holds my chin as he stares at my bloodied face.
My senses go blur and I don't realize what's going on as on instincts I lean my body the person in front of me.
"Are you alright?" San's soft voice ring in my ears melodiously as he caress my head and wraps his arm on my shoulder.
I hum in response and everyone sigh out of relief. Suddenly a strong gust of wind passes through us and my cloak decides to slip off.
My neck was exposed since I kept my scarf in San's room.
Scars.
There were scars. Each one of them spoke a story that was better kept unspoken. The life that I was living, came to haunt me again as the fragments came into vision.
My body acted before I could as I wrapped my arms on my neck and tilted my head to hide more by my hair.
Adrenaline rushed into my veins and anger surged through my mind.
"Captain! Let's bring down the government!" I declare as I turn to Hongjoong.everyone stare at me in utter shock.
"What do you mean?" Eden raises his eyebrow in doubt and San turns me to face him.
"Are you gone nuts?!" He shakes me by the shoulders and stares straight into my eyes.
"There is no time... if you really want to s-save them... you need to destroy the government because he will not let them go...E-even if... even if-" I choke on my words as tears start to brim at the corner of my eyes. San hugs me before I could finish my sentence and he hums a tune to me.
"Let's gather the crew... (Y/n)..." Hongjoong turns towards me as his eyes go dark, void of any emotions.
"Can I trust you?" The question comes out more like an order as I look straight into his eyes.
"Trust me or not, they will die." The firmness in my voice seem to shift His eyes into softness as he nods.
"Train your troops! We'll be leaving by night time!" Hongjoong declares to all the commanders and they disperse.
Leaving only Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Eden and San with me.
"How do you know that the government will execute him?" All the gazes burn holes onto me as Eden starts to become suspicious.
"The one's against law shall be punished because the duty of rights belong to him and every person who gazes with disgust shall be considered the law breaker. Those are called rebels. The enemies of God."
The words leave my lips like copy-pasting a letter. San's arms are still wrapped around my waist as my hands hold them and my head lays comfortably on his shoulder.
"Also, He will consider himself closest to God as he would dirty his men's hands, blame them for a heinous crime then, execute them." My hands tighten on San as Hongjoong and Eden glance at each other.
"Why?" Hongjoong asks, unsure of what he should say. Scared that I might have a side effect again.
"He is obsessed with execution...like... his pleasure... he finds pleasure in seeing people suffer physically." A small wry smile places my lips as I remember how my mother won't even react to his tortures even when he burnt her shoulder.
'Stay strong...Don't loose hope...'
The words used to replay in my mind whenever he would decide to torture me with the whips. The awful and harsh cuts, caused by butcher knives at times.
I try to hide my face in San's shoulders. Something warm is felt covering me as I realize someone placed my cloak back on me.
"It... must be hard...to see that everyday and...m-maybe... even experience it." Seonghwa softly says as he tries to form proper sentences.
He pulls the hood of my cloak and places it on my head. "My... father was under yours..."
Realization hits me as Seonghwa reveals that his father was under the demon himself.
I act before I could process and I turn to hug Seonghwa. My actions let everyone in shock and San just ruffles my head.
"I'm sorry... I remember... Park Yoohan." Seonghwa stares at her in shock as he hears his father's name.
"Executed for raising his voice against the government's head." I speak and turn to Eden, everyone were staring at me intently as I looked straight into his eyes.
"Kim YoungHwan. Executed for murder of (L/n) JaeHwan's wife."
