START SCENE

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN HAS SENT A REQUEST TO HIS SR. OFFICER TO JOIN HIM IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM FOR A QUICK MEETING. HE KNEW THIS COULDN'T WAIT ANY LONGER AND THEY NEED TO DISCUSS THE RECENT EVENTS AND WHAT HE HAS LEARNED. AS THE CAPTAIN WALKS THROUGH THE CONFERENCE ROOM DOOR EACH SR. OFFICER STANDS UP AT ATTENTION.

Captain: At ease, okay. I don't want to waste any more time. The matter has slightly elevated itself.
Sr. Officer Winchester: What's going on Captain?

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN SAT DOWN AT HIS CHAIR AT THE HEAD OF THE TABLE. HE TOOK A DEEP BREATH IN AND LET IT OUT.

Captain: Okay, so the patient we got from the abandoned ship is safe and recovering well. She has informed us of who attacked her ship...I fear that we should be on yellow alert until we can safely deliver her back to her planet.
Sr. Officer Vine: Yellow alert? What is it, Captain?
Captain: She informed us of the attacker's names and what their motives are. The name of the attackers was the Zygotes.
Sr. Officer Winchester: Zygoats?
Captain: She pronounced it Zi Got. They're apparently a ruthless bunch of parts made up of different species and parts of species.
Sr. Officer Bird: That would explain the human body parts that were left behind.
Captain: Right, they only take what they need for their ship or their crew. Occasionally they will capture crew members to become new Zygotes.
Sr. Officer Ryder: They loco!
Doc: That's an understatement. They cut up the crew while they were still alive.
Sr Officer Winchester: Oh, that is bad.
Sr. Officer Vine: Captain, what are we going to do?
Captain: We're going to get the patient to her home planet and then we're going back to the Milky Way Galaxy.
Sr. Officer Baker: Captain, are we sure that this patient...
Captain: Akeena.
Sr. Officer Baker: Akeena...are we sure she isn't just lying to us?
Doc: You should have seen her eyes, she was truly fearful of these Zygotes. You could tell she was not just making this up.
Sr. Officer Baker: Huh, interesting.
Sr. Officer Bird: So Captain, what are we going to do? We promised Arian we would find her a home and take her people there. We can't do that if we leave this galaxy.
Sr Officer Winchester: Captain, I speak for myself when I say that we took on this mission to travel to an unknown galaxy to explore and learn new things. I know I may come off as wanting to hightail it back to Nirvana to get the court-martial started, but I feel if we high tail and run every time we are presented with a challenge. Then why are we even here? Why are we even in space for that matter.

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN IS FEELING INSPIRATION FROM HIS CREW MEMBER. HE REALIZES THAT THE REASON HE ACCEPTED THIS MISSION IS FOR THE ADVENTURE. SR. OFFICER WINCHESTER IN ALL HIS CONFUSING WAYS. THE OFFICER WHO MADE IT SOUND LIKE HE WAS CHICKENING OUT, HE WANTED TO HIGH TAIL IT OUT OF HERE IS NOW SITTING HERE INSPIRING THE CAPTAIN. SR. OFFICER WINCHESTER FINISHES WITH HIS LECTURE. THE CREW LOOKS AT THE CAPTAIN TO SEE HOW HE IS GOING TO RESPOND TO SR. OFFICER WINCHESTERS COMMENTS.

Captain: Winchester, I have to say that is the most inspiring thing you have said yet.
Sr. Officer Winchester: Thank you, sir.

SCENE:
EVERYONE KIND OF CHUCKLES AT THE CAPTAINS COMMENT. SR. OFFICER WINCHESTER REALIZING THE CAPTAIN MAY HAVE BEEN A LITTLE SARCASTIC WITH HIS COMMENT.

Captain: Despite what Winchester said. He isn't wrong, we all knew we were taking a risk coming out here.
Sr. Officer Vine: As much as it pains me to agree with Winchester over there, he is right.
Sr. Officer Baker: I have to agree with Winchester as well. Captain, despite my feelings towards this Akeena and whether or not she is telling the truth, is something I'm going to have to deal with. However, Arian has come through for us more times than once and she has proven to be a valuable asset to this ship and crew. We owe it to her to not tuck our coattails in and run. I support your decision Captain.
Doc: I second that.
Sr. Officer Bird: I know it doesn't matter Captain, but it sounds like we are in this based on your decision no matter what.
Captain: Well I have to say I'm proud to call you my crew. Okay, so we will take Akeena to her home planet and then will continue to search for a suitable planet for Arian's people. If we should come in contact with the Zygotes we know a little something about them so that might give us the advantage we need. Okay, we're dismissed.

SCENE:
THE SR. OFFICERS GET UP FROM THEIR CHAIRS AND HEAD OUT OF THE CONFERENCE ROOM. THE CAPTAIN LOOKS UP AND REALIZES THAT SR. OFFICER VINE IS STILL IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM.

Captain: Vine, you okay?
Sr. Officer Vine: Yes, sir. I was curious if you were okay?
Captain: Oh, I'm doing good.
Sr. Officer Vine: You don't seem alright. Do you care to talk about it and before you say no, you were there for me, so I feel it is only right, that I am there for you sir.
Captain: I understand, but I'm doing okay. I'm just worried that the crew is going to regret my decision and then at some point just snap and try and take over.
Sr. Officer Vine: Sir, this is no movie or tv show. This is real life here, we took an oath to serve the USFD and follow the orders of our Captain. They won't do that and we won't let them.
Captain: Well I appreciate that Vine. It means a lot to me, I know I may not be a normal Captain in the USFD, but I do care about my crew.
Sr. Officer Vine: It shows Captain. Don't worry about what the General is going to do there is no way they can discharge an entire battlecruiser. I'm telling you un-employment would have a field day.

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN LET OUT A SLIGHT CHUCKLE. HE LOOKS UP AT SR. OFFICER VINE AND NOTICES THAT SHE IS A VERY SMART WOMAN AND HE REALIZES THAT SHE IS VERY KIND, AND CONSIDERATE. HE LOOKS AT HER EYES AND IS STARTING TO FEEL SOMETHING. HE STARTED TO FEEL HIS HEARTBEAT FASTER. HE KNEW WHAT THIS FEELING IS AND HE KNEW HE COULDN'T ACT ON IT.

Captain: Well thank you Sr. Officer Vine. I appreciate the time. I need to go and check on Akeena to make sure she found her items.

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN GOT UP QUICKLY KNOCKING OVER THE CHAIR. SR. OFFICER VINE GETS UP TO HELP HIM. HE TURNS TO HER AND MOTIONS FOR HER TO NOT HELP.

Captain: Clumsy me, I should be more careful. Thank you again Sr. Officer Vine.

SCENE:
THE CAPTAIN WALKS OUT OF THE CONFERENCE ROOM.

Sr. Officer Vine: Did he call me Sr. Officer Vine? He definitely needs a break. However, he has a cute butt though. (Slight Chuckle)

SCENE:
SR. OFFICER VINE WALKS OUT OF THE CONFERENCE ROOM WITH A BIG SMILE ON HER FACE AS SHE PULLS THE HAIR FROM THE SIDE OF HER FACE TO THE BACK OF HER EAR.
