i wrote this during my sophomore year in high school in my physical science class after a test, i'd had enough of this kid so in a way this is a rant story but it needs to be shared.
this is from my perspective, written from the point of view of a fifteen-year-old girl who is enrolled at an american public high school. now this story isn't all about catcalling as a whole but simply my collection of what is wrong with american public schools and america as a whole. (the definition of catcall is as follows: catcall (noun) a shrill whistle or loud shout of disapproval, typically one made at a public meeting or performance.) now in a school setting, you can't formally catcall someone. call me a party pooper, but guys shouldn't be allowed to call another girl "baby" or whatever they want unless they are dating the girl. i know that they do it jokingly but news flash it isn't funny to everyone. another thing is when guys say "no, she wants me." no, i don't want you i have my eyes on someone that isn't you. i'll say sometimes it could be funny to me when the topic of virginity comes up. that's just many of the things that happen in the american public school system. as i write this in my physical science class, being asked "what are you writing about?" and being annoyed by everyone. this is only a small portion of what is wrong with the american public school system. oh and the person that brought up virginity asked me if i was a virgin then when i told him i was he asked me if there was anyone i wanted and he'd set me up with them. to which i rejected because i knew he was a fuckboy and possibly all the people he'd set me up with were as well and i am not a slut, nor a fuckboy lover. despite what the previous entries of this book say.
