I stared at this man in shock, he was tall and lanky really dark. His skion was paler than anyone I had ever seen before. He was wearing a black leather trench coat and aviators and black combat boots and overall dressed just like me. I took after him in a lot of way I suppose, maybe that's why my mother had decided to keep me around all this time. I finally decided to ask him my only question for him. "Why did you leave?" But after that so many more came flooding in, I'd spent my whole life wanting to ask him that one question and now there were so many more.

"I had to Daniel, there were things I needed to know. Before I knew it when I returned to the house we had lived in at the time you and your mother were gone. Then the one time I found my family you burned me nearly to death but I flashed out in time. I told you something thn but my mind has blocked out the entire event, I need to know what it was that I told you the day that you burned me. Do you remember that day son, you were very young so I can't be entirely sure." He looked at me very solemnly and I realized that he meant every word of what he said.

Looking around the skate rink I saw a bunch of places to sit where you didn't have to buy any skates or go onto the skating floor. I started walking that way and when he almost spoke again I turned and held my hand out signalling him to shut up and follow me, while doing this I noticed for the first time his eyes. They were otherworldly, they were so orange and beautiful they could have been the spirit of flame itself. I have no way to truly describe the color of his eyes and there will never be enough words to describe that color. I stood for a moment in awe, then I continued walking towards a seat. When I got to the one I wanted I sat down. After my so called father sat down I looked at him and got a closer look at his face. He had high cheekbones and everything was refined angles with him. Even his demeanor and gait were completely formal.

He looked me in the eyes and in a totaly serious voice said "Son you are very special and nobody is really sure what you are, you're like a God in the eyes of the supernatural. That necklace right there is made to supress auras and make anything viewing your aura think anything it doesn't supress comes from it. It's really an amazing tool especially for someone like you, I hate that you've moved to this area. There are so many groups here that would kill you if they knew what you were. Some others would try to control you no matter what the cost to their own kind." He looked at me as if letting that sink in.

I got up and started walking toward the door angrily, then I remembered something from my visit with Britanny and Clarke, looking into Brittany's blue eyes as they were talking about my aura. I turned around prepared to talk to my so called father but then he was gone. As if he had vanished into thin air in the three seconds since I had started walking away. Then I realized something else, he was the one that left the notes at my house. Coming to this realization I also realized that meant he knew where we lived, I started running towards home then because I knew I had to get back to my mother, he would try something and I had a bad feeling he was probably there. On the way home I ran right into a girl, there was like an electric shock when I touched her, something I had never felt before.

She turned around and looked me dead in the eyes, her eyes were a steely gray the likes of which I had never seen. Like they were literally made of steel, she had the perfect body and a style of clothing to match. An almost pristine natural gothic beauty like she might have been made of porcelain, her frame was somewhat smaller but still amazing. Then she spoke "What the hell are you doing chèr, I can't stand you people up here." She had a Cajun accent I believe is what the people in New Orleans say their accent is called.

'        "Sorry I'm in a hurry and didn't pay enough attention to where I was going. Are you okay?" I asked trying not to bring up the shock I felt or how beautiful she was.

She glared at me right into my eyes and harshly, then she responded "I'm fine, I'm more worried about you. Why are you in such a hurry to get wherever you're going?"

I smiled at her and politely said, "Because I'm late getting home and my mother is going to kill me, so I should probably go. Good luck around here maybe I'll see you again."

She looked at me dazzled and responded by saying, "Well chèr you should probably hope you don't see me again. Usually bad things happen after I meet someone, it's why I have no friends. I have a feeling that bad things happen around you often though so you just might."

The way she said that gave me a tingly feeling in my spine and I wasn't sure why. After that I took off running again, this time I got all the way home without running into anybody but when I got there I was surprised. I saw the man who claimed to be my father sitting on the old wickery chair on the front porch, right next to my mother who was leaning against the handrail. They were having a decent conversation, I casually walked up to them and they both jumped then went silent. This meant they were definitely talking about me. I figured that it was somehting that neither of my parents wanted me to hear so I walked into the house and went down to my room.

Some of my stuff was missing. I had a bad feeling and then my thoughts went back to the girl from New Orleans. I realize that somehow this girl is going to be important to my life. I didn't know how I just had a really good feeling that she would, and honestly I was fairly happy about that.

I laid down on my bed and then got the dreamy feeling again, I wondered why I was having dreams like this again. I remembered all the last ones so I didn't think I needed anymore.

I was standing in my new home and knew that for some reason I was in this town called Columbus. Oddly enough I was going by my true name of Minerva. So I decided to go for a stroll, on the way there I kind of experimented talking to myself and realized I still had my Cajun accent. This meant that in this life I was helping with someone supernatural or was involved with one. Oh great, I've always hated how cocky those guys are. Then lost in thought I walked into some kid with dark hair and skinny jeans and such. He was kind of hot and about the same age as me but the weird thing was the shock his touch gave me. I'd never felt such a thing in any previous lifetime. I almost introduced myself but then thought better of it and yelled at him, "What the hell are you doing chèr? I can't stand you people up here." I glared at the kid hoping to scare him away. He stood his ground though, even responded, "Sorry I'm in a hurry and didn't pay enough attention to where I was going. Are you okay?" I was kind of awed by the fact that he didn't even react to my glare, then I responded, "I'm fine, I'm more worried about you. Why are you in such a hurry to get wherever you're going?" He looked at me for a moment before responding hesitantly with "Because I'm late getting home and my mother..."

I jumped awake and realized that I'd just been through the encounter in my dream a few hours beforehand. So the girls name was Minerva and she had felt the shock too. Or maybe I was just weird and had a screwed up sub concious but either way I knew something important was going to happen soon. How soon I had no clue but I just knew that something would happen soon. Then I heard my mother upstairs screaming for help, and then I heard a crashing noise and saw a hole in my ceiling.
