"What is someone as beautiful as you doing here all alone?" He smiled sincerely, sitting next to her. "That's what happens when you go drink with your friend who leaves you for some random guy," she chuckled, Stephen joining her. "Lucky me then. I'm Stephen," he said, reaching out his hand.

"Abby," she shook with his hand, smiling. "Would you mind me treating you with a drink?" "Not at all." So they chatted, laughed, enjoyed themselves for hours, Strange not even noticed Loki left a while ago, feeling unnecessary.

"I'm sorry, Stephen, it was such a pleasure to spend time with you but I have to wake up early because of my work," Abby said. It was quite late and Stephen himself was ready to leave. "Can I walk you home then? I'd never forgive myself if anything happened to you." Strange smiled. Abby agreed, both heading out of the bar and down the street.

When they reached Abby's house, she turned to the sorcerer with a sweet smile, placing a light kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for tonight. I really enjoyed myself." Strange smiled, "me too." "Could... could we meet again? Maybe some coffee or lunch?" Abby asked self-consciously. Stephen's face lit up even more. "Sure, I would love to. Actually I planned to ask you for your number."

They exchanged numbers, said their goodbyes and parted their ways, both happy. When Strange arrived in the compound, he found Loki in the living room with a book and a cup of tea. "Hello. I'm sorry about tonight. I left you alone." Loki turned to the sorcerer. "Oh, hello. Don't worry. I had things to do. How was the date?" Loki smirked, hiding the jealousy.

"I enjoyed it pretty much. Abby is amazing and so funny. She kinda reminds me of you. I think you'd get well together." Loki nodded, not knowing what to say. "Well, I gotta go, I'm really tired. Enjoy the book. Goodnight." With those words, Strange left. Soft "goodnight" echoed behind him.

Next day Stephen decided to call Abby and ask her out for lunch. "Abby Pine, who's calling?" "Hello, Abby, it's Stephen, from yesterday." "Oh, Stephen, I'm sorry I haven't saved your number yet." "It's ok. I wanted to ask if you would go on lunch with me tomorrow or the day after." "Ehm, I'm not sure if I have time for lunch during the day, it's crazy at my work lately. How about dinner? Tomorrow?" Strange chuckled, "no problem, pick you up at 7?" "That you be great. Can't wait. See ya." "See ya."

Two days passed fast. Stephen was standing in front of Abby's house, a single rose in his shaking hand, waiting for his lady. When he saw her, she took his breath. She was wearing a burgundy tight-fitting dress, flattering her curves.

"Wow

"Wow. You look absolutely stunning, incredible." Abby blushed, smiling. "Thank you. You don't look bad yourself." It was true, Stephen in suit was something different.

The dinner went very well. They spent hours talking about work, family, everything. However, the tension grew up more and more, light touches, moments of staring into each other eyes. "How about moving this to yours?" Abby asked when they were sitting closer and closer, not wanting to just talk anymore.

Strange smirked, opening a portal and suddenly they were standing in his room. "How did you-" she asked amused. "My little secret," Strange said, sitting on his bed, pulling Abby in, making her straddle him, his hands on her waist.

He leaned to her ear, whispering: "Now you can change back, Loki." A green glow appeared around her, exposing the god, now sitting on Strange's lap, placing his hands on sorcerer's shoulders. "What did betray me?" Loki smiled.

"I knew since we entered the bar. I'm sorcerer, the best one, even drunk I can recognize what's real and what's just your illusion. To be honest I enjoyed this play but why didn't you just tell me? Why all of this?" Loki bit his lip, looking down. "I.. I thought you would reject me. I was scared of losing our friendship. And then you had dinner with Christine.." Strange chuckled, "and what was your plan exactly? To live two lives the whole time we would be dating?" Loki sighed, "I don't know. Maybe. I just.. I thought you weren't into men."

Strange smiled, realising Loki didn't know. "You don't know about Tony and me, do you? We weren't just friends. I was determined to spend the rest of my life with him but then... I thought I would never find someone like him. And you showed up, reminding me of him so much. Your sarcasm, wit, sass and beauty, it drove me crazy. I hated you for that." He chuckled, tear running down his cheek.

Loki wiped it out with his thumb, leaning in, placing a soft kiss on Strange's lips, resting his forehead on the sorcerer's. "I'm here for you now. I won't leave you, I promise." They were sitting there, hugging tightly, feeling safe once again, happiest they've ever been. "So the greatest sorcerer, the master of mystic arts things I'm beautiful." "Shut up, Abby." Strange chuckled, resting his head on Loki's chest.
