"Come on!" Biana pleaded, raising a small makeup brush to Sophie's face.
"I just don't understand the point of this! Elves are already naturally pretty so why- "
"Sophie, would you please calm down. I've already explained this like 30 times; it's just to enhance our natural beauty! You of all people should know because you are an enhancer."
Sophie responded with a groan. Biana giggled and pulled out a dark blue dress out of her closet. She then grabbed a sparkly white belt and handed them both to Sophie.
"Put these on while I figure out how to do your hair," Biana said while pushing her into the bathroom.
----------
Biana had just added the finishing touches onto Sophie before they heard a knock on the door. Biana opened the door, and Fitz was standing there, leaning against the wall, looking at his watch.
"You ready yet? We're late," He said.
Biana glared at him and said, "Anything else you want to say?"
Fitz looked up and gave her a confused look before saying, "No?"
Biana sighed and gave Sophie an apologetic glance. Sophie gave her a sad smile before following Fitz down the stairs.
Sophie was wearing a dark blue dress with a sparkly white belt. She, for shoes, wore some small white heels. Biana put some gold eyeshadow on her along with some eyeliner and mascara. Biana had then curled her hair into loose curls. She pinned the front parts of her hair behind her head and made a braided crown.
Fitz dragged Sophie outside to the leap master, with Biana tagging along behind, and brought them both into the light. They arrived at Foxfire seconds later and were met by Dex, Tam, and Linh.
"Hey, guys!" Linh said with a soft smile.
"Hey... y-you look so pretty," Fitz said, turning a subdued color of red. Sophie pretended not to notice as she walked into the building. Fitz walked in talking to Linh, and Biana went in with Tam.
"Are you okay?" Dex asked, leading her to a small table after following her inside.
"Of course," She said, sitting down in a chair. Dex gave her a suspicious look but didn't push any further.
She felt a pit of jealousy rise in her when she saw Fitz leading Linh to the dance floor.
Sophie's eyes were rimmed with red when she saw Fitz lean in for a kiss.
"Sophie?" Dex asked, rushing beside her. She instantly realized what she was doing and calmed herself down.
She cleared her throat and said, "I'll be right back," Dex was about to say something, but decided last minute to hold it in.
Sophie made her way through the crowd until she found the front door. She ran out and found herself in the garden near the side of Foxfire.
"I can't do this anymore. I can't keep pretending that I don't notice how you act with Linh. I just... for the sake of both of us, I'm ending this. I really hope we can still be friends," Sophie transmitted to Fitz. She didn't bother 'tuning in' for a response.
She walked to a nearby bench that stood near a big fountain. She sat down and held her head in her hands.
"You know, Foster, the dance is inside," A voice said. She looked up and met Keefe's icy eyes.
Keefe sat beside her and asked, "So, why are you out here all alone?"
"I could ask the same thing,"
