Alek stares at him,  afraid. He feels that if he makes one faulty move, he's a goner. A demon was casually hovering in front of him, their arms crossing over each other.

"What's wrong?" The demon speaks. Its voice sounds like it has multiple layers of its own tones, manipulating over each other. Like an echo.

"Looks like you have seen a ghost," it smirks at him. Alek takes a step back.

"Y-Your... R-R-Real..?" He can't keep his posture right, he was too scared to see the real deal.

"Of course. I'm here to show you I'm real, and to show you your mistakes," it grins. The grin reveals it's fangs.

"Wha-What mistake?" Alek takes another step back but he can feel breathing behind him. A gust of wind blowing towards his back when it's not even windy.

"To not worship me and cast me aside as some fairy tale," it lifts it's arm off and aims it at Alek. It spread its hand open, and it cause Alek to stumble and hover as well. The demon makes him levitate. Telekinesis.

"Wha?!"

The demon uses its other hand and aims it at Alek as well. Alek was struggling.

Electricity was sparkling and swarming around the demon's arm. The electricity leaps out from its hand and onto Alek, striking into him. The electricity was purple and gives Alek heavy damage from the electricity.

It cracks and shivers Alek's bones and skin, burning him. The demon, later on, drops Alek to the ground.

"I hope I will see you in hell, my boy. You're lucky to be my first candidate to my spell," it crosses his arms again then it vanishes from the wind gusting past them.

Alek is woken up from that incident in a medical bay. Someone recently found him and drag them to their place.

The medical bay was filled with other injured civilians. Their conditions look normal for humans. To him, he looks abnormal. He notices purple lines popping out of his skin. Covering from his neck to his wrist and his right arm. Those spots were where he was hurt the most and exposed to the electricity. They looked like purple glowing veins, popping out of the human skin.

"Ah! You're alright?" Someone said from behind. He looks over to see a guy that is around his age, wearing a gray trench coat with a weapon sling over and across his torso. He doesn't look like a normal civilian.

"Yeah.. Where am I?" Alek notices bandages that were around his chest and hip, yet the texture of the bandages is old. How long were they on for?

"You're in a medical bay that is in our secret military corporation," the guy drag a stool over to sit across from him.

"Military? Secret?" He remembers what happened and instantly sat up, but starting to feel sore and dizzy. He put his hand against the side of his head, trying to balance.

'Whoa whoa," the guy slowly push Alek back down, making him lie on the bed again. "Take it easy, it's too sudden for you to get up again. We might need to teach you how to walk again," he said jokingly.

That's what Alek thought at least.

"How long was I out for?"

"Five years."

"What?!" Alek slowly pushes himself up, forcing him to sit up. "How am I still alive?"

"Well, we did some tests and scans while you were unconscious, surprised to see your heart still functioning," the guy crosses his arms. Alek continues to listen.

"And you have a virus that is supporting and damaging your body right now, so your on a 50 50 of being alive and dead."

"So.. I'm half dead?"

"Pretty much."

Alek wanted to cry. Wanted to say goodbye. But he knows that that doesn't change anything. He accepts it.

"What's this virus?" Alek asks.

"The virus is new to us so we're calling it "Test #193." It's helping your blood cell flow freely due to you having half of your blood cells fresh. The other half is just pure dead and rotting in you."

"What?" Alek starts to worry yet he doesn't feel any difference in his body except feeling really hungry.

"But don't worry, this virus is acting as a guardian to your body and is killing the bacteria and all those rotten cells you have."

"So that's how I'm being alive.. but what about me being killed?"

"The virus is too much for the human body. You're lucky it's not in the climax stage. The virus is killing your rotten cells and such, but replacing it with a stronger abnormal one."

"So I'm getting abnormal body parts? "

"Guess you could say that. For example, you probably have an abnormal bone structure and lungs right now," the guy smirk.

"Hehe.." Alek chuckles a bit.

"I'm not joking." The guy's face got serious.

"..Oh," Alek's grin disappears.

"But since you're awake, I'll show you around the place. Get you some food. Alright?"

Alek nods. The guy got up from his stool.

"Who are you?" Alek asks.

The guy looks at him again and put his hands into his pockets.

"A soldier that works for this secret military corporation." He removes his hands from his pockets.

"Rank is Lieutenant, working under this group for ten years. My given name is Denmark." He salutes.

"Nice to meet you, Aleken Davelin."
