"Oh my god."
The cabin was beautiful. As soon as we stepped in we were awestruck by the large wooden ceilings, the fireplace burning in the corner, the bustling of people checking in and out of the resort.
I held Alejandro's hand tightly, stuffing it into my pocket, the chilly outside air still running through my jacket.
He was stiff, a tense air about him, like he had just realized something he shouldn't have. Shaking his curls, he let out a sigh, trying to forget his previous altercation with Mattia.
Speaking of the troublesome boy, he was leaning against a pillar, eyeing the couple.
Some fucking couple. If only Izzy knew the truth of what was really going on. But maybe things had changed and he just couldn't see it. He let out a grumble, sinking into the wood.
"Yo lovebirds. So apparently the girls and guys have to be seperated, which honestly is a relief because this, is disgusting." A girl's chirpy voice spoke, as he wagged she finger between the couple.
I frowned at her, shoving Ale gently with my hand, as he laughed, turning on his heel. Alejandro's lips were on my ear, his breath tickling my neck.
"Well that's a shame, isn't it." He murmured, smiling. I felt butterflies go through my stomach, my mind turning to the earlier things I had felt in his pocket. What was he planning...?
Shaking my head, I caught Mattia's eyes again. A hidden emotion flashed in them that I couldn't quite decipher, almost as if he knew what was to come during this trip.
"Is he okay? He seems, out of it." I asked, as Alejandro shook his head quickly. "He's fine, he's just, distracted. Problems. You know." He mumbled, clearing his throat.
Nodding in agreement, I decided not to argue with him.
The rest of the day passed sort of quickly, it mostly just consisted of figuring out rooms and getting settled in, but there was an afternoon ski planned for the class.
Mattia slumped against the wall, tired, his legs hurting from the walking they had been doing all day. His phone buzzed with notifications from random people he knew and didn't know, as he locked it with a sigh, shoving it into his back pocket.
"What am even doing here." He muttered to himself, groaning.
