"So he pulled you onto his lap."

I nodded, pushing another fry into my mouth. Alejandro's dark eyes watched me, his jaw clenching ever so slightly. He was sitting across from me in the diner, a plate of fries set between us.

His red hoodie was over his head, as he sat comfortably, his arm resting on the back of the booth.

"I mean I got off. It's not that big of a deal." I spoke again, as he rolled his eyes. "Iz. It is a big deal. That's kind of gross you know. He barely knows you and he thinks he can start getting free with you." Alex muttered, anger flashing in his eyes.

I was used to Alejandro's overprotective behaviour, but something felt different. It was almost as if he was jealous.

"What's gotten into you? Shouldn't you be happy that he's actually giving me attention?" I retorted, throwing the fry I was picking at back into the plate.

Alejandro moved, his position changing. "Why should I be happy that you were locked in a closet with a random guy, who's had a history of fucking around with girls? How was I supposed to know if you'd be safe with him or not?" He grumbled, his tone becoming aggressive.

The ringing of the diner door rung in my ears, as I grabbed his hand, his soft, warm skin warming my own cold fingers. "Calm down!" I hissed, squeezing it. My eyes flickered up to the fluffy haired boy who just walked in.

He scanned the room for a bit, before his eyes settling on us. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he walked towards us smoothly.

"What's up fuckers." Kairi spoke, shoving me to the side, sitting onto the booth.

Alejandro and I exchanged an angry look, as Kairi's eyes flitted between us. "You guys look like you want to tear each other's throats out." He remarked, popping a fry into his mouth.

Ale let out a snort, leaning back. "Your sister is getting a little to free with the wrong people." He snapped, as I furrowed my brows. "Are you serious? All we did was talk Ale. You're talking like we fu-"

"Okay. Don't need to hear that." Kairi butted in, blinking. He turned to me, grabbing my drink. Before putting the straw in his mouth, he spoke. "So who are we talking about again?"

"Mattia Polibio."

Kairi spat out his drink, looking up at me. "Mattia!? I can't even count on my fingers how many std's you just caught." He clamored, grabbing a napkin, wiping his mess.

"What is wrong with you two! I didn't sleep with Mattia. We just talked." I growled, slamming my hand on the table.

I spun my head towards Alejandro, his head turned, dimple piercing his cheek as he avoided my gaze. "I don't even understand why you're so bothered!"

He looked at me, grabbing his bag. "I can't listen to this bullshit anymore. He's not interested in you Isabella." He spat.

His words hurt me, as I flinched, leaning back, crossing my arms. I watched him
storm off, before letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Ooookay." Kairi drawled, crossing his legs up into his chest.  "That was totally not the most awkward situation I've ever been in like ever." He rambled, looking at me.

Why was Alex being so defensive and hostile? What was his reason? This was the first time he had ever acted out like this.

Maybe there was something happening between him and his girlfriend, or maybe he had just entered a protective brother mode?

I shook my head, sighing. I hated fighting with him. We never fought, but when we did, it usually lasted for a few days. And I had to go to his house tonight too.

Shit.
