5 DAYS LATER

ST. LOUIS, MISOURI
(BECKY POV)

*sigh* Right, uh... I don't really know how to open this one uhm... for those of you that may remember, Extreme Rules was last chapter... and, well to put it plain and simple... we didn't have the best of nights... mainly him. I barely slept that night because I couldn't stomach the fact that all this could've been avoided. If only I let him stay back there... why? Why was I so stupid...

Anyways, paranoia aside, after my loss of the RAW Women's championship, the higher powers that be moved me to Smackdown live. They didn't say anything about him moving too, so that made me really nervous. I didn't know if I was ever gonna see him again on tour. What if this was it?

All those thoughts and more ran through my head as I drove to my first TV taping on the blue brand. When I arrived, I didn't say a word to anyone and briskly made my way to my locker room. There, I sat in silence for a bit before getting dressed and walking to the make up area.

SHOWTIME

Well... here we go, my first segment on Smackdown was a promo that leads into a match against the one and only Mandy Rose... for some reason... oh well, anyways after the pyro for the start of the show went off, my theme kicked in as the crowd went crazy.

"Ladies and gentlemen please welcome, The Smackdown women's champion, The Man! Becky Lynch!"

At this point all the negative vibes went out the window... at least for now... as I made my way down to the ring. I did my poses on the ropes like I usually did and eventually grabbed a mic as my music faded out.

The silence didn't last long as the Missouri faithful started chanting my name in unison.

"Thank you very much St Louis, clearly a town of good culture."

The crowd cheered.

"Now... you may be asking yourselves why... why Becky, why are you on Smackdown? Well... obviously you all watched Extreme Rules right?"

The crowd chanted yes in unison.

"Then you may have seen that I lost my RAW women's championship to Asuka, thus ending the Becky 2 Belts movement."

The crowd booed furiously.

"Yeah, yeah... that was my reaction, but uh... that... wasn't the only travesty that happened last Sunday..."

A video package played of what happened on that fateful night, it even included the conversation we had before the match which opened up some old wounds but I kept calm as the video ended and the lights came back on.

"Safe to say... Brandon's not here tonight..."

The crowd booed again. They started to chant his name so I pointed the mic out towards them and paced around the ring for a bit.

"I know, I know... I'm just as mad about this as you guys are. The one thing that I can't stand though... is the people who did it."

At that very moment Seth's theme song hit as the four musketeers made their way to the stage.

"Well well well, look who we have here. The Man, Becky Lynch, all by herself in the middle of the ring. Now... I know what you're thinking... why? Why would I stoop so low by having my boys take him out when I had no business out there? My answer, because I can! You see, I like what you two stand for. The whole "POWR outage" theme really it's cute. Let me just let you people here tonight know, that as soon as that punk returns... he's mine..."

He dropped the mic and walked backstage with his squad in tow.

"Trust me lads... he'll be back..."

The crowd roared as I exited the ring with my theme playing in the background. Seth May have one the battle, but if I know Brandon as I have for all those years, he'd win the war.

Anyways, I headed backstage, didn't talk to anyone I didn't need to talk to, and went straight for the locker room. After I got changed, I just sat there on a chair in silence. Reflecting on what the fuck happened this last week. I then got a call that changed everything.

"Hello... oh hey B what's up? Wait... you got discharged?!"

"Yeah, I've been discharged from the hospital for a few hours now, I got a flight home to recover for a bit before I head back out."

"Oh thank god! You have no idea how scared I was... no freaking idea."

"I know... I know, I'll be fine though. You keep doing your thing out there, alright? I'll be back."

"I know you will, love you!"

"Love you more."

We said our goodbyes and hung up. I sat for a few more minutes thinking about what he said. I wanted to move on from the incident, but something inside wouldn't let me. I finally got up and left to go to the airport for my next flight. I couldn't wait to be back on tour with him. I know it's only been five days, but to me... it felt like a lifetime. But, if there's one thing I know for sure...

He will be back.
