Well... I think it's safe to say... what a week it has been. Ya know, I knew she never meant for it to go as far as it did, and I understood her pain. One thing I hate though, is seeing her sad. She deserves the world, and to be safe, and as her husband, I have to make sure those two things are fulfilled. Dark things aside, it was good to have her back... and yes, I said husband. After thinking about it, I didn't go through with the whole divorce thing. After I found out that she cheated on me, I just said that in the heat of the moment. In truth, I love her with every fiber of my being, and it would crush me to have to part ways. She, honestly helped me out of a dark spot in life personally so technically I owed her one.

Anyways, I was the first to wake up for once so I showered got ready for the day before sitting on a chair on the balcony that our hotel had, and just relaxed for a while. I was always fascinated with sunrises for some reason and the view I had from the room didn't disappoint. Little did I know my amazing wife had quietly woke up and got ready for the day ahead.

I realized it when I heard...

"Beautiful morning init?"

From behind me which damn near scared the piss outta me.

"Jesus..."

I jumped and turned my head around to see my wife standing behind me. We both started laughing after the fact proving that even The Man and The POWRful one could laugh at each other.

"Well good morning to you too."

"Morning, sleep well? I saw you sitting out here, but I figured you were taking time to yourself out here."

"Yeah, I did... thanks, I...uh, it definitely helped. You?"

"Yeah, I did. It feels good falling asleep with you in my arms again."

"Oh you..."

I said as she walked over and sat in my lap as we looked out at the still rising sun.

"Now that's just pretty."

"Yeah... that's not the only pretty thing I'm looking at right now."

She giggled and playfully nudged me a bit before turning around in my lap to face me.

"You really know how to make a woman feel loved, huh?"

"Well I mean it's not just me. I mean come on we've been through just about everything together and we're still here. Honestly, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I kinda had a crush on you in high school."

"Really?"

She replied, I could see her cheeks go red.

"Yeah, but I just didn't know how to say it, I was kinda scared."

"Well, clearly everything worked out for the better because here we are now right?"

We laughed a bit more.

"Yeah... it did..."

We got lost in each other's eyes for a moment. It felt like one of those "time stood still." moments that we always have when we're together. Soon enough, we locked lips for a while enjoying each other's company.

"I love you."

"I love you more."
I said as we finally packed our stuff and headed down to the lobby for breakfast and to check out.
